| Bradford never learn. He has done nothing for the past 2 years and couldnt even get a game for the Dragons and was playing reserve grade until he got sacked! Doubt he will be on peanuts neither. And he will be playing Championship Rugby next year- thats if he stays around!

Was he charged with anything? If not the visa shouldn't be an issue. Not have played much might be for this season, you'd think with a full preseason he'd be a good signing.
We shall see.

| Apparently he was signed last Friday according to all reports but they wanted a big unveiling, which went a bit wrong with all the rumours. Unless he signed then and they've been negotiating on his visa.

| He was signed before the deadline. The deal has been done for months and Visa and him due this week.
The police were not involved so no record for him as it was a club disciplinary matter after an unproven allegation.
He was sacked by the club in May and was wanted my Melbourne but couldn't sign till next year because of regulations.
He has been playing second grade - but so have the Bulls and Fax
He has even been called a woman beater by one fan which shows how people go completely over the top.
All very similar to why Monaghan and one or two others came over. A minute of stupidity by a drunk young man cost him his NRL place - but he is the same player that has played S-of-O two years ago.
He clearly can't do what he has been accused of while drunk but stupid things happen and he has paid the price both rugby and financially.
A silly lad but if he plays anything like he can then all will be happy.
Hope that clears things up.

Squads are limited to 25 but, as you seem to be able to swap players in and out of it pretty much at will, I'm struggling to see the point of it - other than form-filling practice.

Nielsen last played Origin in 2012-3 years ago not 2. Also since he left Melbourne he has done nothing at either the Warriors or the Dragons- 3 Tries in over 30 appearances and has hardly ripped up reserve grade! So clearly is not the same player he was 3 or 4 years ago or else 3 NRL clubs would not have let him go. Bradford are once again living in dream world and over paying average players pretending they belong in SL. Bulls will be playing Fax for a couple of years yet. The sooner the club (and the fans) accept then maybe they will stop wasting money on has beens who offer little. Maybe if the Bulls had some teamspirit and a decent coach then they wouldnt need to panic buy players like Nielsen

Surely the fact that he's played Origin at all shows that he's a great player, and he played for Queensland on 3 occasions. How many other former origin centres are there playing in Super League at the moment?

Even if he only plays at 80% of his capabilities as an Origin player, he'd still be better than most SL centres. We had a centre a few years ago called Lulia who was brilliant for us but was nowhere near the Origin picture.

How do you know how much we're paying him? And we're not pretending we belong in SL. We have to prove that we belong there, and hopefully over the next 7 games we'll do that.

| At least you are concerned enough to spend time researching LBC,
I will smile now if he "bites" fax in the backside when we play you.
You may be right about the Bulls playing in this league for a few years but you are wrong regarding "the fans". Some live in the past but I find most are realistic about the position of the club. We are a championship team but I still think the "club" is now capable of holding it's own against most SL clubs because of sponsorship and off field income.
Having said that, it would be lovely to see us both go up. Those days and nights at Thrum Hall were brilliant and hopefully they will go on for a long time yet - but not in this league!

| I follow the NRL especially Melbourne with great interest so not really looked up anything. Nielsen was obviously good at Melbourne but as like most players when they leave, they just become poorer players and Nielsen struggled at the Warriors and Dragons. Nothing wrong with signing overseas players if they bring something but many are signed and are a waste or dont offer much that any European player could do. Theres some good youngsters around that have left the game due to not being given a chance to prove themselves. I just fail to see why clubs would look to bring an overseas player over at this time of the season when in all honesty its unlikely they will be in SL. The same can be said of Salford, Wakey etc. Give youth a chance and not just waste money on overseas players that often are no better than whats available in Europe.

| I don't doubt he will be a quality player, but what I question is the cost, wasn't it only a few weeks ago that your chairman announced you would be running a reduced squad next year. From what I have seen this year your problem is in the half backs other than Gaskel (even more so if Gaskel leaves as rumoured), the money could be much better spent on another half back perhaps?

| I think we will find that the squad size will be smaller as its been much too large this time with some unused and others discarded after a few games. The best from this year will be retained and a few high quality additions will be made. That will be required to keep attendances at or above current level. I dont think money is a particular issue and were we able then we would spend to a higher salary cap in the Championship.
If Neilson plays at 50% of his previous capability he will be outstanding in the Championship and still better than average in Super League...if the deal is right then its a low risk gamble.

I just hope, if Bulls are in championship next year and they reduce the squad they also reduce their prices, £27 to sit, in this league is ridiculous

I agree up to a point but why would they. There's no sign yet of crowds falling below the level predicted and so from a business point of view it makes no sense unless there are many staying away.

Staying away?
When over the last number of years your ground was full how much were you charging for season tickets? How many free tickets were you giving away?
You need to get the balance right, cheap or free tickets gets 10000 £27 gets what 4000
How about a sensible price say £20 then your crowds would go up, bigger crowds equals bigger revenue.
In my humble opinion.

If you buy a ticket in advance, it IS £20 at Odsal and even at the current prices, we're still getting about twice as many people through the gates as you guys are.

Erm...... No it's not if you want to sit. I can't stand for a game. If you want to buy a seat it's £27 AND its the only ground that actually charges junior season ticket holders £5 to have a seat. That said I will still pay it on our next game, because I'm a fan.
