Not a bad draw, would have preferred it to be at home but hey ho. A couple of other ties look good as well, radio making a big thing of Bradford V KR but should really be an easy game for KR but Leigh Vs Salford on the other hand looks very tasty.

Back to our game and it really should be an easy win for Wakey all said and done but if they dont turn up for the game like they havnt in a few already this season then we will beat them. It also will be a good taster for if we can make the middle 8 as well to see how we will go on against one of the teams that will be in there. Also Ive got a lot of fond memories of going to Wakey and its one of the places that I have missed since we dropped out of SL. Who can forget Warren Wilson tip toeing down the touchline for the winning score in the dying seconds one year...........and then trying to get under the posts despite the try been enough to win the game.

Home would have been better but it a team we've not played for a while so should take a good crowd over and its not impossible to go and give them a game

Happy with that, normally would have preferred a home draw but not on that pitch. We are underdogs but they are not the best SL side in the draw so we can use it as a good yardstick for if we make the middle 8.
Somewhere different as well as others have said not been to Wakey since 2003.

Wally only played one game against Halifax and that was at Thrum Hall on 12/02/84 in the Challenge Cup. He scored two tries that day on the last of his ten games for Wakefield in a 19 - 7 win .

Yes he certainly showed his class that. Seem to remember more raw power than finesse for at least one of his tries, but the memory does fade as one gets older.

That's good news as I feel the Beeb are missing a trick here, there are a number of very interesting ties.
