In view if the recent relevations/allegations does anyone think the club
should make an announment to re-assure supporters or do you feel
its a private matter for the boardroom.

You would rather be in the dark if there are financial problems at the club?( and I am not for one moment suggesting there are). The rent arrears is in the open now. This should at least be addressed.

I agree. Much as I wish the club to rise above the crap coming from the FCHT lowlifes, to just ignore all the allegations is bound to make people wonder.

So far we have had:

Rent arrears
Quarter million in debt
Fraudulent Heartbeat of Sport
Vilification of both Reactiv Media and Tony Abbott himself

I'm sure that most, if not all of this, is based on outdated and inaccurate information dredged from the internet but I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting some reassurance.

The accounts are in the public domain. If people are panicking about the latest published accounts then they don't understand the financial world around them, the recent history of the UK economy, the recent problems within the game of RL and the nature of ownership/LT liabilities of sporting clubs in general. I don't think the club should have to answer to people who can't process information properly.

If people want re-assurance - I suggest they go and have a look at other sporting clubs' accounts and not just RL clubs either. The company I work for has negative equity yet we are going through our best boom time for a decade. We are also in hock to the parent company for £1m as a LT liability. At first glance our published accounts do not match the feel good factor within our building but with a little perspective and common sense the "state of the accounts" can and should be re-assessed.

The club should issue a statement re the rent, Their silence is almost an admission of guilt. The club is not being run properly and will end up the same way as the football club

Sorry but I find that a little patronising. IIRC you work in the field of accountancy. Not everyone understands balance sheets, that doesn't make them thick. I run a limited company but employ an accountant to do my books. When he sends me the Statement of Accounts at year end I scan through them. The finer details don't mean a lot to me but if the bottom line showed a massive deficit I would require an explanation, especially if I thought I'd had a pretty good year.

So should the club issue weekly statements highlighting which bills they haven't paid yet? I don't think the club need to respond to any questions like that. However, if it stops people having kittens then maybe they should? The danger is that's sets a precedence for every Tom dick and Harry flood this board with inane questions.

Why do the club need to make any statement against a witchhunt made by HTFC fans? Its this sickening anti Fax/Tony Abbott hate campaign that is based on empty lies. Many companies dont pay straightup debts so why should Fax? Fax for me are not in danger of going bust soon and I trust the people who have got us where we are. By lowering itself to answer stupid questions based on lies and a hate campaign will serve no good. I am sure if it was an issue the Council will deal with it
