Ok. It seems likely that announcements of new signings will commence after this weekends Grand Final is out of the way so what signings have you heard rumoured so far, do you believe them and would you be happy with them?

I'll start

Liam Finn - 100% definite I was told - 100% not happening - would have been reasonably happy but not wildly
Gareth Potts - seems likely as it has been mentioned on the Batley forum - good signing
Simon Brown - maybe - not impressed
Paul Mennell - maybe - not impressed
Tom Saxton - same source as Liam Finn so unlikely - good signing

Brown, Potts and Mennel definates...also heard Ben Johnson young kid from Cas who played at York on DR....He is a decent young kid but looks like your half back combo could be this seasons York pairing....

Heard Ridyard and Beswick from a reliable source but he said it depends on people that leave. E.g he said Cowling is dependent on Nanyn

A bit like Leigh, it sounds like we are putting together a team that would have done well 5 years ago.

Heard Marillion Man and Rotherham Fev Fan at Prop and Ging Dong at 9 (Though heard he has problems getting to the play the ball in time). Faxlad66 (Well done mate) replacing Sam Barlow HalifaxJohn and LittleRich are our new wingers with Triran and Sid Scoop the new centre pairing. Tortured Soul had agreed terms but then said no as was too busy engraving glass! Maybe I need a better hearing aid as these rumours sound too good to be true

I dont think Fev have ever released Finn from his contract. They allowed him to talk to us as intitialy they were happy for him to go. We had a deal with Finn, subject to Fev's release but on Longy's advice to the Fev board (i.e. are you effing mad!!) Fev now want to keep him and he's already contracted for next year.

Fev players also prefer to keep Long than work for Bastian is what i keep hearing.

Ridyard is definitely not leaving Leigh he has signed with them 100%.
Brown it is and possibly Johnson unless Castleford decide to retain him.
would be surprised at Saxton considering Potts is a definite and already
having Reittie and Worrincey......would also be surprised at Ben Kaye as
he is not exactly one of the best and also mennell a definite.
Take out ridyard from that list and its not really what you would expect from Halifax....


I think the whole Finn situation and delay has left Fax with not a great deal of options.

Johny Pressley already re-signed for York for 2014, we would love to
have Ben Johnson back also, good player & a York lad, could still happen
if next seasons DR goes the way I think it will.......

As far as i understand he had agreed to join us subject to Fev releasing him but they have changed their mind.
