In the early 2000's I was working in Bradford and had to pass Odslum every day. Every day I had the pi$$ taken out of me for being a Halifax fan. Every day I had it shoved down my throat about the 'Bulls'. Every day during the 2002 and 2003 season I was reminded about how crap Halifax were.

Every day I reminded them that one day they too would face financial problems as the club was not built on solid foundations. They were a club doing well but not building for the future. They were a club who one day would face trouble. I told them to enjoy their time at the top and come back to me in 10 years time and we'd talk again.

Well my Bull loving friends - as a Halifax fan I am having a right good chuckle.

As a rugby league fan I hope they can survive this. They are after all a proper rugby league club. We'll maybe see you in the Championship soon.

Sad to see but shows what a load of bullcrap SL is and the myth that licences would stop this. Inside 18 months thats Wakey in admin, Crusaders bust and Bradford on the edge. You can bet others like London, Cas and Salford are not in good shape neithet. Sod SL I dont want my club to be part of this lieing circus. SL is not for our club and we shouldnt ruin what the hard work jas achieved. SL will ruin Fax and Fev.

If the RFL had taken on a sponsor who paid some money then I guess the Bulls debts would be slightly less than they are. IF the Bulls 10,000 season ticket holders pay £100 then problem sorted, yet that is twice what they paid for their season tickets, so was this a way of getting in quick money for a product they may not be able to provide for the full season. Can they be sued for not providing this product?

“I am delighted to confirm that four clubs (Hull FC, Leeds Rhinos, Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors) have been awarded A Grade licences, one more than in 2008, and that five clubs (Bradford Bulls, Catalan Dragons, Huddersfield Giants, Hull Kingston Rovers and St Helens) have been awarded B grade licences, two more than in the last round of licensing,” said Lewis.

“As welcome as the improvements in grades are, it is just one element of proof that licensing is meeting its objectives of driving up standards"

The final decision on the awarding of licences was made by the RFL’s independent Board of Directors following a detailed assessment process by the RFL Executive, who received valuable support from property consultants Savills, finance company KPMG and governance and business management experts at Leeds Metropolitan University.
