Its called Merchandising, full credit to Fev, all they are trying to do is make a couple of quid, and keep the interest going, For finishing top of the pile in relation to the table, at least give them that, theyve deserved it.

Fev fully deserve their status as league leaders at the end of the regular season and im pleased for them but according to the rules the champions of the league are the winners of the GF which we all knew about before the season started. If its Fev then once again well done to them but i hope its our boys.

I'm basically re-opening the debate of what should be done to be classed as Champion and whether people would still 'prefer' to win the league or the final? For what it's worth, if we have to go through the silly franchise system, Barrow and Fev should be given a point for winning the league with the potential gamble of the play-offs and it is as good, if not better achievement than the Grand Final itself.

I have been watching their website of late for details of the match between them and us and there has not been one single word about it......until today however.
There is a short announcement of the match date/ time then a very curt.
Seeing as how the RFL havn`t bothered announcing it on here after a full 10 days. Poor do if it was down to the RFL, if it had been Super League the web site would have been all singing all dancing no doubt.

But Fev arent champions. They finished the season as league leaders, and received a shield for that. If you dont win the Grand Final, you wont be Champions. Might come back and bite you on the ass, like Callands "country mile" comments.

I dont disagree with what the letter said in it or this thread, if the club make a few quid out of it good on them, personally i wouldve wrote 'league champions' on the merchandise but then it would probably cost more to make especially on mugs and keyrings where there would be little money in it (this is basically what is being sold)

Just wondering if it was the OP who sent the letter in more than anything, to a neutral it reads like a jealous rival supporter and of sour grapes (especially the RFL bit)

I thought to be champions you had to win the play offs.or have the goal posts been moved ? I belive that the Rugby League should intervene and ask Featherstone to remove their self proclaimed title and all associated merchandise until after the play off final.
