Anyhoo, ive been told numerous times that your mark gleeson is on his way to our team to replace Andy Ellis? Despite the rumour being as strong as it is; i somehow just cant see it? Have you guys herd anything?

On topic: We have 3 hookers tbh each should be playing 80 minutes not 40 max, letting one go will not lessen team strength, Ellis played 80 mins for Barrow, worked well for them.

the only thing would be money, would cost some pennies though for you to take him with a 2 year deal to buy him out of at fax.

i would prefer to keep hold of him, very good player at this level i think everyone can agree on that.

if it did happen though wouldnt mind Luisi and maybe someone else as a swap deal.

I just don't think this will happen. Des has said publicly on a few occasions that he won't 'buy out' players (or coaches) that are still under contract. The Oldham 5 and Bauer were offered to Barrow RL in order to get their respective club wage bills down, so no transfer fees were due at all.

I've heard a couple of names for our replacement hooker which are far more likely IMO.

Any of them signed on for next season? All the players at Oldham had contracts to the end of this season, Been that Barrow "took over" the contracts surely the same time-scales apply.

Then again, I read somewhere else that they were technically on loan, either way. Are their contracts up now?

The speculation on Barrow looking for a hooker from Fax was originally started on this forum by Fax fans. Luisi being the subject of a player swap was also raised by Fax fans. No problem with that, all good healthy speculation and helps pass the dreary off season.

Personally I am sceptical about any proposed offer for any of the Fax squad, particularly one involving the exchange of one of our best players. Too risky to lose an established and qulaity player like Zeb on the speculation that the incoming player would setlle in the team, provide a net increase in the team performance, or most likely, stomach the travelling!
