Hi there.
I made this post after the game between Halifax and Featherstone that was shown on Sky the other night.

I didn't think it would provoke such an angry response.
I called the game how I saw it. For me it genuinely was like watching 2 very ordinary park footy sides consisting of 25 players I had never heard of. (Iestyn harris being the only one I know of) There were mistakes aplenty committed by BOTH sides, not just Halifax. I made comments about the way one of the Halifax players didnt even have a proper on field footy jumper and how he had forgotten to wear any socks.
I know realise that footy in the UK [iNEEDS[/i sides like Featherstone and Halifax. The amateur game should be encouraged and not criticised by people like myself. We need to realise that there is clearly still an amateur game outside of Superleague
Please accept my heartfelt apologies.
I wish you the very best of luck in your 'grand final' against whoever you end up playing

Barry I agree, the two side on show were average but are capable of some very good footy at times. With the playing squad being part time there is gonna be a drop in the skill levels compared to top grade! This leads to more dropped balls and penalties than normal! Despite this the league this year has been very competitive and exciting to watch and thats all you can ask for!

I'm a big South Park fan but I had seen the episode that was on so I was just channel hopping.
Don't get too excited, I was also watching a programme all about Tank warefare over on the history channel and some programme all about gang culture over on Bravo as well as flicking backwards and forwards to South Park and the footy |

The player doesnt wear socks.. And the shirt had to be changed due to a blood bin. So nothing embarassing or unprofessional about it. |
