It was to be expected. Hunslet everything to play for, Halifax, dead rubber. I backed Hunslet (+icon_cool.gif on coupon so lets hope Halifax win, but by less than 7 points!



I think most fans realistically believe we've no chance in the play-offs and look forward to a fresh start next season with Karl Harrison and a completely different squad.

A game to forget! Ronnie Laughton was an absolute joke! He just had no idea what was going on, laughable really. Anyway, we've really got to up our game for Thursday.

Well, I’m not sure where to begin with this one, considering it was so bad.

Firstly, we must not forget that today we were playing Hunslet. I do not wish to look down on our opposition, however, they are scarcely better than a pub team. Fax fans may complain about the tactics of Huns (slowing the game down etc) but it is more worrying that Fax were unable to overcome such a basic tactic.

Fans of both teams were out to criticise Laughton before the first ball had been kicked. With an 11-13 penalty count was he really that bad? Probably not! Yes, he was picky, but I can’t think of a particular decision that had any real impact on the overall outcome of the game.

So after that shower; we have to prepare for Thursday. I’m not sure how that 17 can take any positives out of today, but since they are professional sportsmen a bit of professionalism will be required, in order for them to put this afternoon behind them. Although I wish for Fax to be successful in the play-offs, they are certainly not worthy of any success.

For me, I think that we should write off this season. Look ahead to 2012, getting a new coach and new set of players is essential for us to progress. So is getting a board with some ambition, but I suppose I am in cloud cukoo land asking for that!

WTF! Why are we writing off the season? We should have all buggered off home at half time in last years Grand Final as well. We'll write off the season when it's finished, we are still good enough to get to another final.

Come on lads let's stuff Batley on Thursday and then onwards and upwards.

Quite simply, because over the course of this season we proved to be a team of pre-Madonna’s, who have shown minimal effort and spirit (which as a fan angers me).

It's not an investor we're looking for - it's a rich fan or a Rugby League hobbyist with stacks of cash. An investor won't touch any Rugby League club with a barge pole. This is why the search is so hard.

Sounds about right. But dont we have a major shareholder? Even if these shares are worth next to nothing they would have to sell or give them up to any potential owner?

Wast Steve O'Connor a big Liverpool fan. Dont think he supported Widnes before buying them.

I`ve no idea either but if I was coming in to buy I don`t think I would like the answers to my questions very much.
Q1 .How much is the ground worth? Oh nothing in fact you pay to play there.
Q2 Well what about the players , they must be worth a shed load?
Well no , they don`t sign for life any more your lucky to get a season out of them.
Q3 What about catering food is very lucrative?
Yes it is but it`s franchised.
Q4 So what do I get out of it then?
Well you get to work down here for around 60 hrs a week with no pay.
Q 5 Is that it?
No of course not , when theres less coming in than is going out or there is an unexpected bill needs paying you will have to cough up.
