i posted a new topic about bracek going from Barrow to crusaders, thought it would be a good topic to discuss about rats leaving a sinking ship and all that, but it got locked and now deleted. I was told i was on the wrong forum and a link was given to the Crusaders forum.
but yet only the other week we were discussing Crusaders attenadnce. Oh and the topic is still alive and kicking.

Nothing to do with power. I work for a living, I cant view every thread but the ones I see I apply my judgement to. It was a thread about a player signing for Crusaders from Barrow. This is the Halifax subforum of the RLFans forum. I pointed you in the direction of the Crusaders forum.

Otherwise why have different subforums? Did you ever visit the old forums? Jafro was excellent, but there was still a lot of rubbish on there. The AUP wasnt written on a mad power trip, it was written to keep the subforums relevant and useful. The PM rule is to stop 18 slanging threads from developing after every locked thread. Chinaman, if you want to know why a thread has been locked you can PM (Private Message) by clicking on "x New Messages" just under the fax shirt on the banner.

Well I think the mods are okay on the Fax board, I haven't been banned yet so they must be good.

On the whole , I've found them to be a bunch of power mad self ed megalomaniacs , apart from that they're fine

The Mods generally do a good job. I guess they do not have that much time to search through things. The Fax forum is certainly better ran than Virtual terrace. I usually find TS and Tririan very reasonable people and usually understand why they have done something. Te mods are human and will make mistakes and there are things that are personal options-some may agree others not. For me all the Mods keep up the good work (When do I get my money

Triran, I used to mod the Fev site - well, both of them! Fair play to those who do cos me and fevlad gave it up cos of the constant sheeeite that goes with the role!
Over on totalrl.com the admin has less of a presence and at least the mods are given the opportunity to employ common sense. That wasn't my experience on rlfans and the role and behaviour individuals who admin the team i found I was at odds with. It was much easier for me to just bail out of that job!
Trying to maintain that balance between appropriateness, fairness, legality and freedom to post was never easy mate.

I personally think the mods on this board do a fair job and I do understand that it is done for free by those who want to be involved.

However. I commented on the originally locked one, because there seemed to be no real reason to lock it. It was a sensible post about a sensible subject, which was rugby related.

My comment was removed and I was PM'd the rules that say non halifax topics can be removed. I was then PM'd the reason which said that it was a "non issue" until I made it an issue ? and the Mod saw that it was not Halifax RLFC related therefore locked it. Stange though that that particlar mod joined in another thread earlier (not locking it) which was non Halifax RLFC related????

Like I say, they do generally do a good job, and thankfully they do otherwise it would just turn into some other boards (you know which ones i mean).....

Good we are now having a discussion and perhaps it may make the mods (I thought they were a late 60`s 70`s thing!) think a bit more carefully before censoring! I think in general they do a very good job but should not think they are beyond criticism.

I am sorry my two topics, a tongue in cheek "sack Nat" after someone elses post had been locked and now removed and followed by another one titled " are we happy with our moderators..... can we make this a poll?" were both deleted and followed by threats from good old Nat. perhaps the lads a bit touchy?
Anyway lifes too short and it a lovely day and we have a little matter of the lads sorting Fev out down at the Shay tonight to look forward too.
