Like the others have said it makes no difference how 'outstanding' Leigh were today, it all comes down the important league fixtures ..... and looking them Leigh's season will be over after the first 6. Another year without the all important tick in the box I think.

we had 9 players all under 20 playing in todays game Wayne Godwin came on 30 mins into the game and then got knocked out 20 mins into the second half, nero, gleeson, and wild played a max 30 mins of the 80, same with gibson and broughton, the only two players to start and complete the match was Matty smith and stef ratchford. add that to 7 of our best players still in oz and the equals Leigh winning by one point!

It's a good win but maybe going a bit OTT? Widnes beat a very young yet with a few 1st teamers against Saints two years back and didn't exactly dominate the league did we! Don't even think Fax fans said their side last season was there best in 20+ years. Maybe as you say though if as many Leigh fans who go to watch other sides went to watch yourselves you'd be onto a winner

No duals no Govin no Robbie Paul we are good we have cover for every position. Salford had at leat 8 of their first team squad They are full time. We will win the Championship by 10 points.

Quite a bit of ammunition for them in your posts. In all seriousness, both teams playing their first game. Salford missing 6 or 7, leigh missing 3 or 4, both teams making lots of subs. Salfrod spent 30 minutes of the first 40 in thier own half and scored two tries to our one. Second half was 3 tries to 0 in Leighs favour.

Summary, useful run out for both coaches. Salfords strength in depth looks to be severely lacking.

I've taken Frank's advice on board
