no surprise there, did think he was good player though and hope does well if gets back into the game.

Silly boy. Theres plenty around though that are getting away with recreational and performance enhancing drug use (not saying this make it ok).

And a Barrow fan came on here straight after the Grand Final saying two of our players had tested positive for something. No evidence of that yet!

It was after the Batley game that Brocklehurst was sacked so I guess he came clean after giving his A & B samples. If it is true about 2 of your players then you may not find out for a few months yet - I can't remember the exact date of the Batley game to work out how long ago Brocklehurst failed his test. I rated him as a player to.

I have no idea whether you have any outstanding test failures from the GF, clubs tend not to announce these things until the have no option. But the Brocklehurst ban relates to a random test at the Batley game back in June and has only just been dealt with by the governing body. He was dismissed within a week of the game for gross misconduct prior to A sample results.

If there are any failures for any side at the GF's its likely to be the new year before they are dealt with.

We knew about Brockys the same day he was dismissed from Barrow.

So...rather than coming on here with your rumours...either put up or shut up?

It was common knowledge (although unofficial) about Brocky a day or two after he was sacked. A very good player for us in the first half of the season. He was tested at the Batley away match which was a week before the NR Cup final in July.

Regarding the rumour about the two Fax players - the rumour started on the Fax forum posted by a Fax fan. As you would expect, it was quickly removed by the forum big brothers.

Cant see it being true Gary as these players would most likely have been sacked. Regardless of whoever does it at any club they should be punished if they knowingly take ban substances IMO.

An overated player who likes to strut round town as though he is a Lance Todd trophy winner. In fact it was only the end of the season when he offered a few of my mates out because they were in a club singing 'oh Hali Hali....' after reaching the play off final.
