All in all, a horrendous game between 2 poor teams with a shower of a ref. But a win is a win.
Miles is a shadow of his former self

He's certainly nowhere near his best but he still makes his yards, despite his stick-man size, even when running it in against forwards.

I agree - Fieldhouse has to be a shoe in when he returns from the tour.

2 Points - Bannister - Really strong in both attack and defence.

1 Point - Cherrynator - Ran really hard today, like he should be doing normally! And as usual solid defence.

3 = Macca (a monster all over the park in attack and defence)

2 = Bannister (worked his backside off and great try saving tackle)

1 = Patto (for the try saving tackle alone...awesome)

Not gauranteed to sign for you on his return. Has a couple of offers on the table from elsewhere and your league position and choice of first team coach will determine what he does. His Dad has a big say on where he will go. So if you want him your descision makers will have to get close to his Dad.

He might end up at Salford with Ian Millward then.

Maybe the contract is already in the safe....signed!

Thought Henderson played very well for Sheffield and probably just shaded Penky today.

Cant fault Miles for effort but needs to change his attacking runs to straight line rather than an outside curve ....untill his pace comes back. Close decision now for fullback against Leigh ....Jones or Miles? Probably depends if Black is fit/prepared to put in a better performance than against Fev.

Goddard....looked sharp and in better shape than he has for a while. Which gives the coach the option for Nash in the pack (or saying get yourself fit before I pick you again) ....if only we could get Nash to adopt Goddards/Pattersons fitness lifestyle we might actually really see what Nash is capable of.There is no doubt he has the ability but his fitness must be making Calland and Nobby seriously consider if he merits his place in front of the likes of Chandler (hatrick for u23s).

A match in hindsight we were a tad lucky to win (Sheffield not kicking the penalty for a draw!!) .....but well done for digging in as a team and grinding it out .

Couldnt believe they didnt take the opportunity for the draw but that is their failing and not ours!

I go with that, as for Miles he bust a gut he is a real tough cookie, come on get off his back yer he is no Shad but rarely lkets us down.
