Apart from a super win making it 3 from 3 it tested their resolve when York came back in the second half, as before the team looks so much more solid with Douglas in the pack and Crookes in the backs, still not convinced over playing Woody and LJ that way round but the young Saints half led the side round the pitch.

Agree that JWH and Jouffret would be better in their normal positions although I can't see it being changed while we keep winning. Thought AOB had his best game for a while, and that Douglas again looked great, especially in the first half. The thing thats stood out for me in all the games this year though has been the line speed in defence, which must come down to improved fitness and which is suffocating opposition attacks.

Very pleased with that win it felt like a playoff game tight and intense. Completely agree about JWH and Jouffret should be playing the other way around but apart from that we are going well and roll on Fev in 2 weeks time.

Regarding JWH and Jouffret i just don't see why the coach is doing that but he's obviously got his reasons. Yesterday was a really good win built on the 1st half defensive display when the ref kept pinning us back with repeated six agains. The team looks transformed from last year, long may it continue.
