From the excitement of last week to another tense game, this time just winning by that 2nd half penalty from Ed Barber . Was this his first for the Club? We did score 3 tries to 2 with another solid try scoring performance from Zack McComb and a try for Ben Tibbs on his debut. The intensity from last week certainly showed in the players performance this week as they just could not raise their game and just held on against opposition we had won easily earlier on in the season up at Newcastle.. This certainly could not be said of James Saltonstall who continues to put 110% and never stops and was a stand out winner of the Man of the Match sponsored by Zenith Independent Wealth Management. Jacob Fairbank was the pick for the Hitman award sponsored by Thompsons Gas & Heating Services.
Winners in the Club 1873 draw were £25 voucher number 19 Alan Kelsall and £20 voucher number 97 Ian Croad.
In the half time draw the winning number was 7104 picking up £178.
We still have places on the supporters coach to Widnes on Sunday 22nd August. The coach leaves the Shay at 12.45. Ko 3.00pm. Adult fare £15 with juniors travelling with an adult £8. To book phone Neil 07714488080.
