We've got a bit of the 2015 vibe back, were working hard as a team in defence.
We pushed the top 3 close and could have easily nicked a result or two.
Personally I think we are a backs to the wall side, we play better when we're written off and not fancied.
There's a very handy pack in the squad and we have just about got enough speed to finish off the odd try in Rob, Ben, Salty and Sharp.
Sharp for me has been a very welcome surprise, he's one tough hombre, I haven't seen him back down on anything, and he gets the ball back with interest. Well done Will.
Injuries could derail us, we are clearly in need of halves and hookers for next year. Muzza just needs to keep them legs going for another 6-7 wins and we may have some cash to strengthen.
we need to beat Batley at home, put pressure on the others and nick a win on the road at either Fev, London or Toulouse I would say. In the meantime, get everyone fit and keep picking off wins against the sides below us.
We can do this, stingy in defence and ruthless in attack.
Realistically was expecting mid table at best. Done very well to claw our way into top 4 contention. Will need to beat somebody above us though to get a foothold. Tolouse at Blackpool would be good after getting robbed at home.
Batley blowing hot and cold but don't write them off. Next home game against them is going to be massive.
Lots of twists and turns to come yet.
Just need some look with not getting anymore injuries.
Keep the faith.
I had the pleasure of meeting RM before this season started, and my main point to him was that he needed to get the 2015 spirit back in the team. Not quite there yet, but we can see that the team are working for each other more than we saw last season.
In terms of Muzza, it was surely no coincidence that we moved from a comfortable winning position against Oldham to needing a game-saving tackle from Salty to keep us ahead. When Muzza came back on for the last few minutes, sanity returned and we ground out the win (his kick to the corner being the final clincher). He's not the fastest or best half back in the Championship by any means, but when he does hang his boots up, we desperately need to find another leader on the pitch to take his place.
Interesting in the warm up before the Oldham game that Mitch was being very vocal in the final huddle. Maybe we have some hidden talent there on the leadership front?
Going better than I expected like others have said we have got some of our passion back and the lads really work hard with our defence being pretty solid, we cannot fault the team for effort.
We lack a bit of flair and cutting edge in attack we could do with Adam O'Brien back, Muzza is key to us playing well but we need another quality half back to take the pressure off him and take us into the future after Muzza retires.
Salty, Mitch and Will are all going well, Rob is hit and miss sadly more miss so far, Steve Tyrer is ever reliable and Shane Grady is rock solid, we need Grixy back and soon.
I am happy with things so far a win up at Haven then its revenge time against Batley we need to beat them and push them out of the chase for a top 4 spot leaving us to fight it out with Toulouse and London as I think top 2 is Fev and KR.
