Quote ="Officeboy"May I ask why you label the big screen and Fax TV Pro as fails?
Also, what's the difference between getting a phone message asking you to attend a game you were going to anyway, and seeing a poster inviting you to attend a game you were going to?'"
I think this response smacks of the complacency and lack of direction form the club.
Whilst we are not doing that bad on sponsorships. Over 200,000 people live in Calderdale. Less than 1% are regular attendees at the games. So I would say that there is a need to reach out and improve the pathetic level of marketing.
Fax TV Pro is off such a low standard you would need to be either nuts or a dedicated fan to pay for it. The service will certainly not attract new fans and in my view, with the present standards, is a sinical attempt to extra addition money from fans.
The big screen, well it's good for sponsors to see their names up. But it does add little else.
A good team, playing attractive rugby will attract fans, but at £40 plus for a family of four (for someone who wants to go and look at the odd game not a season ticket holder) plus snacks, beer, program etc. It's not a cheap day out. I have to work best part of day to be able to afford to take family and there are lots of other places to spend my money.
