Personally I think that one good thing has come out of this situation - making the council aware that they have to maximise revenue for what they've got. We've seen an example of that recently with the sponsorship of the East Stand. It has paid for work to be done on the ground with no risk to either club or the tax payer. I'm quite happy for Reactiv to sponsor the Shay, but see no need for them to own it.
And yes, if anyone else tries to buy the ground I'll fight it just as hard - especially if it is the football club's BOD.
Looks like the council wanted rid and were not too fussed who they sold it to. Looks like the council are hiding some information to me. Might turn out that Tony Abbott was not the main villain in all this but given all the information Im not sure many people would still say they would be happy if he ended up getting it.
