I was lucky enough to play for Halifax under 19's, 3 times, one game I played in the second row with John Martin against Hull, I realised after that game John was a second rower, I was a second rater. A lad of colour (no disrespect intended) played for Hull and was signed by Bradford Northern, they promised him a bonus if he played 10 consecutive games for them, he played nine and then they dropped him. I think his surname was something like Diabera, some things never change.
