I thought that, maybe it was redemption time for Andrew Hardcastle???
I am not saying it was an extra 2 minutes by the way I was saying that games usually finish around 4.35pm so allowing for delays in starting the second half it went on another 7 minutes more than 'normal' as I was looking at my watch saying 4.40pm thinking thats it game over yet Fev had time for 4 tackles then scored on 4.42pm.
As per James Roberts match report in the Courier says:-
'Fax had a let off when Jon Grayshon was pulled back for offside from Finn’s crosskick, but with
three minutes of normal time remaining they were deep in Rovers’ territory and building nicely.
But a horrible mistake from young Anthony Bowman, who delivered a short pass straight into the arms of Rovers stand off Kyle Briggs, allowed the visitors to race downfield.
Fax survived the initial attack, Tyrer conceding a drop out as he covered back, but they cracked when Rovers replacement Andy Bostock ploughed over wide on the right to level at 28-28.'
Finn, who had looked infallible all afternoon with the boot, missed the kick and with normal time almost up, a draw looked likely.
Incredibly, Fax had other ideas: A wicked kick off from Tyrer drew the error from Rovers number nine Ben Kaye, Fax packed the scrum and the ball went right where Heaton pounced for his second score of the game.
Tyrer, whose mixed form with the boot continues, could not add the goal, but at 32-28 and
only seconds remaining it seemed academic.'
Hey ho we lost but still wonder how long they played????
