Quote ="The Lucky Black Cat"Dont listen too much to Radio Rhinos but was interested to see if anything would be said. Damian Ball was being honest and I appreciate that. There was no BS and was straight upfront. I have a lot of time for somebody like that. There was no blaming anybody but us. Thanks Damian. I was a bit disappointed to be honest that Matt Calland did not say anything. It just comes across that he is hiding. But maybe he was giving his players a dressing down.'"
Whilst I also admire the honesty, I think he's been too honest. By saying there are negatives that he won't go into, he's admitting that this is more than just a lack of form/confidence. The rumour mill has started.
I think the club has to respect the fans - there is now a public acknowledgement that there are problems at the club, and it seems yesterday's performance came as no surprise to DB. However, they let us part with our time and money to travel to Sheffield to watch it. Whilst I would not expect the club to come out and say what the problem is, I do hope they are able to provide an assurance that the matter is in hand and so us fans can expect better next time out.
