This sort of thing has been going on at Rugby League clubs through out the country for many many years. Ever been offered a ticket off a director etc,etc for a fiver? Do we think they had to pay for it.
Seems to be a lot of hysteria about this, and yes its a terrible thing, but people banging on about manufacturers and how they work is just plain wrong. If anyone does their homework and goes through the correct channels you will find that most goods can be purchased direct from the manufacturer, in fact most do have factory shops selling goods cheaper than you can buy in the stores. Im not saying this is how xblades work but others defnatley do.
