Quote ="johnny freeman fan club"I would just like to thank everyone for attending last nights event and I am sure you will all agree it was a fantastic evening,Pete Emmet was superb as usual. The past players who are not used to seeing him didn`t know what had hit them to begin with but they all enjoyed it immensley too.
They all spoke fondly of the times when they played for Fax and as most of them had traveled some distances to be there eg Leeds, Wakefield, Warrington , Lytham to name a few just to have a get together with Fax fans I think that has to be aplauded.
We have not quite got the final figures in as yet but it made in excess of a £1,000 which was phenominal for that type of event and it means that the Faxbuilder Fund is in a position to hand over our first £5,000 at the HKR friendly.
The next event is the quiz night on the Thur 27th Jan at the Ivy House 7-30pm start lets see if we can fill this fabulous tavern, tickets are only £3pp and inc supper.
The following night Fri 28th Jan John Dorahay rolls into town on a book signing roadshow and will be in the South Stand bar between 7-00pm - 9-00pm there is no charge for this as John just wants to say hi to all the Fax fans however his book will be on sale at a reduced price.
During April (date to be anounced shortly) we will be back to our "mini dinners "
and the inimitable Jamie Bloem has volunteered to support Faxbuilder by inviteing a few friends along for an evening and knowing Jamie we will all be in for a night of surprises,so watch this space .
I would like to also thank all the Trust committee for all their hard work last night to make the event happen , thank you all.'"
Top night, big thanks to the ex-players and Pete for being a very funny MC.
