There is a mention of Fev fans who bought tickets and boarded the buses having to fill in a form with detailsif that's the case then the name of the person/person's responsible must be there somewhere so hand them over to the police and let them interview them!! If the culprits got on the bus after the attack somebody must know who they are so please do the decent thing and come forward!! Then maybe the clubs can think about 'Building Bridges'!!!

This is a debatable topic and, for the most part, it is being debated. There may be posts that take your thread off-topic, some that are finger-pointing, and some that are just trolling.

I admire what you are trying to do, and commend you for it, and wish you every success. But, as is the nature of public forums, thread drift does occur and it is up to you and other posters to bring it back on topic. Feelings are still running high and it may be better to try to and restart this thread at a later date.

They were brought on when the Featherstone fans reacted to the Halifax evacuation of their stand. As the Halifax fans were already on the pitch, naturally, the dog handlers used them to help the stewards to 'shepherd' the Halifax fans back towards and into the stand when it was deemed safe to return there.

AFAIK, there was only one Halifax fan forcibly ejected by the police and stewards from the East stand, and maybe a couple more escorted by stewards without resistance. None were removed prior to kick off from the West stand, nor during the first half up to the evacuation. Can you say that about the Featherstone support?

Dont know if anyone has taken you up on the offer i hope they have. When the person is found i hope the clubs make a joint statement and supporters can move forward. It is no suprise to anyone that alot of the people that were there will not be there next season. I have been home and away for many seasons with my daughter and i have never and i say never come across any fighting at POR (i do sit in the family stand) At the away games this season i have also had some good days out with opposite supporters and alot of banter. At one ground i did have to be moved to the seated area but i think for people to say there is a problem at POR is untrue.
When this person is found he SHOULD/WILL be barred from the grounds in my opinion but does he go anyway probably not

I also hope the lad has a full recovery and he doesn,t read some of the things on here because i wouldn,t like to see the fans of RL have a go at one another like this.

Being from Warrington and at the game on finals day I like to add a little GOOD vibe to the debate to show that BOTH clubs have the supporters that can help to try and stem the tide of ill-feeling amongst some sections.

Halifax fans were praised for their conduct during the evacuation of the West stand. OK, there were a few windup merchants but very few. Due to whatever confusion arose there was a section of Fev fans who again acted irresponsibly BUT credit should go to the more mature Fev fans who were helping the stewards and the police calm down the (younger) contingient. And the Fev suppoprters in the East stand who offered to give up their seats, and stand with the others in the south so that the Fax fans could be accomodated in the East should be mentioned.

We all agree that certain events took place that NOBODY wants to see at a rugby game ever again. I would like to say that I saw stuff that day that I would gladly welcome at any game in any ground. Rugby League has always been a "family". Like all families we have the young no it all teenagers, the drunken uncle and the weird auntie BUT like all good families at times of trouble we can, should and will stick together.
