Just to add this area of the pitch is not far from where the incident took place - you can clearly see the hard surface between the stand and the pitch.
Thats what made the challenge so bad. Not only did Nash drive Hartley 5 yards off the pitch but then proceeded to slam him to the ground on the concrete - how could he have been commited to the tackle if the 'slam' took place so far away from the pitch? From memory Hartley had got rid of the ball before well before Nash took him over the sidelines. Nash did what he did because he wanted to, nothing to do with already being commited to the tackle.
As for the Haggerty incident - most reasonable people would agree that the challenge Haggerty made was stupid and reckless.
