I'm not going to put 'Calland in' because I'm hoping we are not going to get into all that yet. It simply brings everyone down when that starts and its very early days in the season.
Calland has done a good job and i don't think we want to be thinking about changing our coach we need the stability. Also how depressing was the back end of last season when all that was spoken about on here was Calland in, Calland out, i think it was bad for the team and bad for us as fans. We need to draw a line under yesterday and move on. From my perspective on yesterdays game there was a number of reasons why we lsot, some i believe were the coaches fault, some weren't.
Firstly resting some of the team- I think this is something most coaches would have done, not out of arrogance but down to the fact that we had only played a couple of days earlier and we SHOULD have enough depth in our squad to to do this.
Players not looknig interested- Whilst i do believe it is upto the coach to drum enthusiasm into a squad its also down to the players to play with pride in the shirt whatever the coach has or hasn't said. Plenty of the team did not do that.
On the Ben Black note- There were plenty of other people that under performed yesterday so I'm not sure why people always pick on him, but if we want to go down that route then fine. Black is most probably injured he went off after 20 minutes and to be fair to him he was the only one that stood up to come back on when Goddard got injured, so give the guy some credit. Anyway that aside I assume he must be playing with an injury to go off after 10 minutes, in which case he should have been rested but not really his fault.
