I think we will be a more organised team next year without Penky, (if he goes) i dont think he really fits in to a game plan very well and he must have been a coaches nightmare at times last year when he lost the ball early in the tackle count on many many occasions trying to do the impossible. However if someone can take him by the scruff of the neck and coach that out of him they will have a cracking player and in my opinion he will do well in Super League, the only doubt i would have at that level is his size ?

Fax have also offered the first official confirmation that they did receive an approach from Super League side Salford for Penkywicz.

Weeks of speculation reached a head late last week, with reports in Manchester claiming the Fax skipper, who penned a new two year deal in the summer, had "turned down" Shaun McRae's side.

"Salford asked to speak to Sean, but were unable to reach an agreement with the player," said Fax chief executive Graham Clay.

"We're delighted that Sean will be staying with us."
