Now I know people work on the pitch and we share it with the football team but the pictures I have seen today of it which made it look frankly terrible,(couldn't make it today due to being ill), but what could be done to make it good for both us and the footy team?

Might need to bust a drug grower and use their lighting system, could help to get some green stuff out there.

Its terrible and needs sorting out both clubs are paying for something tat is not fit for purpose, its like the pitch used to be at Rochdale until they invested and got it sorted out, the Council need to dig it up, get a properly drainage system in and it will last for years, its false economy just tinkering every year as its wasting money because it will need to be redone year after year and with the same result, a poor pitch come Christmas time.

The 2 groundsmen were winning awards for the pitch 3 or 4 years ago.
Fax have been playing on it for the last 17 years along with the footballers.
How come it's only been an issue for the last couple of years?
It seems obvious that the problem is with the half hearted repair work and not the amount of use the pitch gets.
It is not caused by either the football or the rugby, so let's back off each other and focus on a solution that suits both sides.

Even if one sport did do more damage than the other it is irrelevant. It is a shared stadium and there are still many (OK, probably more on the football side) who still dont accept this.

I seriously wish there was a way to draw a line in the side for all the rubbish which has gone on over the years and everyone to move on together, united. Because I think we all agree that having two successful clubs would bring nothing but benefits to our town.

There is never going to be any middle ground. A small minority of football fans from the Town forum would try and implement the rugby club in the killing of JFK if they could think of a way to do it.

Daft as it sounds, Sheffield United use them. Probably a lot of others too.

That sounds a bit flippant and i hope it turns out that way.I just hope the board sort out their differences with the council soon as this threat is very real and very serious.
