To be fair yesterday was hard game full of Big shots, There were no real bad cases of High shots or foul play. The worst part was Gannon Smacking the man holding his nuts.

Widnes have improved their discipline massively since Cullen took over the club and i dont expect us to fall back to our early season poor discipline any time soon. I dont think Barrow were all that dirty to be fair, a Bit of rough stuff helps build the game and the match was better for it.

To be honest, I think we should stop worrying about other teams and just get behind our own. If we perform to the level we are capable of our chances of a successful season are high.

Were now known as the Widnes brawlers, mess with us and your going to get smashed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I echo that sentiment. I thought both teams were as bad as each other, and whilst there was a little bit of fisticuffs it was just a really really tough game.

But lets not worry about what Widnes and Barrow are doing, lets concentrate on Halifax. We need to raise our game for the back end of the season.

We NEED to be in the Grand Final, in order to "tick the box" for 2012

Im not worried in the slightest by Widnes/Barrow, just thought it was funny seeing them gripe about something that happens all the time from their team.

Wonder if there would have been as many up before the beak had it just been a normal non-televised league match. Are the RFL trying to stamp their authority?

What was funny that wasn't on the field were three Barrow fans walking up and down the stairs and along the front of the Widnes fans trying to taunt them into a fight. Everyone, bar the stewards, ignored them, and they were consequently 'escorted' from the premises. Complete numpties. Half the time they couldn't remember what team name they were chanting and had to look around for inspiration.

Seriously, I've seen nothing to the extent of the brawling and niggling that went on yesterday from our side all season. Barrow's tactics were clear from the off. They kicked the ball straight back at us and tried to rough us up. Did you not see Brett McDermott trying squat lift Jim Gannon from the scrum, or grab his testicles in the scrum that followed? Or how about the forearm in the face of Mark Smith? All this occurred in the 1st 7 minutes, that's what people are taking issue with.

Gannon was well within his rights to give McDermott a right straight, as I would too if some bloke grabbed my nuts. Once both of those got sin binned, each side cooled and Barrow realised we couldn't be intimidated. From then on our class showed. I think both sides did well to reign in their anger from the opening exchanges..

Anyway, your lot should come padded up for your visit to the Stobart. Gannon's gonna get ya!

We have seen Gannon off two of the three games this season, he is not that good.
