Why would I read the whole Bible to get the answer to one simple question, when I can ask that simple question to a person who (I presume) has read the Bible and can give me a quick answer? Do you refer your children to a look in the library every time they ask you a question, or do you just answer it because you know the answer?

I am truly interested, but again I ask - why would I research through the Bible and all the scripture to answer what I feel are very similar questions, when you can do so quickly?

Why are you dodging the questions? Surely it takes just as much effort to reply as you're doing now as to answer the questions? Shall we start with just one then - Fossils. Why are they there, how old are they, what are they if the answer given by science is incorrect?

I'm not a believer in any of the ancient Egyptian gods, but have always been extremely interested in ancient Egyptian texts, to cite just one glaring example. Old religious beliefs writings and practices have always been an integral part of human civilisations, and although we now know that (for example) the Sun is not actually a god called Ra, and that Osiris and Anubis and the rest don't actually exist, but the knowledge it's all bollox hardly makes it uninteresting, now does it?

The essential difference is I see the Bible (etc) as just such a collection of old writings, whereas you are just the same as an ancient Egyptian, who if transported through time to your house in 2016, would be as convinced as you are that his gods were the real ones, and that you were the atheist.

Again, a predictable swerve, and your now classic need to constantly claim some imagined "victory", as an alternative to dealing with points you don't know how to deal with.
