I don't need to be a religious scholar to know that the earth and all life on it wasn't created by an invisible man in the sky; it astounds me that seemingly intelligent people continue to peddle this claptrap. Your version of it is certainly left of centre, but it's no less ridiculous - we moved on from this stuff centuries ago and the increasingly desperate attempts by the various cults to keep religion relevant would be amusing, if they weren't so dangerous.
Religion is about exercising control over the masses - the sooner it dies out, the better for everyone.

Another one who makes a habit of being wrong. Nobody controls me. Religion definitely controls the thoughts of the Atheistic Heliocentric Religion like you. At least i have a relationship with my God. What have you got to look forward too with your god small g. No afterlife. Nice.

| The funny thing with faith, Stan, is that it means you don't know either. You have a certainty that is based on nothing more than a cultural wish. You know as much as everyone else about an afterlife. Nothing. As for a personal relationship with god, what you really mean is you have a personal relationship with your own mind. If you could prove god existed you'd be world famous. Celebrated. Historic. The thing is, nobody can. I'd change my mind in a heartbeat if someone could provide proof. They can't.
Of all the nonsense and supposed 'proof' of crazy conspiracies you simply can't provide one tiny bit of proof for your core belief. You roll with it without knowing.
What you believe in tends to be an accident of geography. If you were born in Saudi you'd be muslim, if you were born in India you'd be a hindu. They all think they're right as well.

| I don't have a god - and yes, no afterlife is exactly what I'm banking on; for that reason, I try to make best use of the time I have available, safe in the knowledge that dead is dead. You might believe otherwise, but that belief is based on blind faith in a text that can't in any way shape or form be verified. If anyone here is a sheep who can't see the real truth behind the lies, it's you - religion is an invention used to exercise power and control over populations, and it appears you've fallen for it hook, line and sinker.

This is typical of lazy atheists. Rub your magic lamp, abracadabra, snap your fingers and `God' should appear. Have you dedicated years of your life to a sincere search for God? No. Well you have zero argument. GOD is a fairly large and important subject which you seem to have dismissed out of hand.
How many years did you go to school to get the rudiments of an indoctrinated education? 10 years? What if you dedicated 10 years to reaching Higher/God Spiritual Consciousness. Now if you deny spirit you ain't playing with a full deck.. Spirit proves God. Do you sincerely want to know if there is a God. Do You think you can find GOD in a book in the written word or in an argument The search for God is far beyond test tubes and books. I cannot give you my experiences of Higher Consciousness. You have to do the WORK to find out for yourself. Its Life changing.

Bren2K Stan will accuse you of being in some Heliocentric religion - he always does - pretending not to know what a religion is. He has this thing about "heliocentric" - as if it was some gamechanger. Of course, the Sun is at the centre of the Solar System but as the Solar System is a totally insignificant tiny backwater, other than for purely local reference, the Sun is at the centre of nothing, it isn't even anywhere near the centre of our own galaxy, so any reference to "heliocentric" is kind of missing the point.
However, mankind's ingenuity and technical achievements even means that we have an actual image of the actual solar system, taken from deep space in 1990 by the Voyager spacecraft. (Voyager 1 is around 20,000 million km from the Sun and the round trip light time to and from Earth is over 37 hours. More info, and live odometers, here: voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/where/
At the moment, Voyager 1 is travelling away from the Sun at approx. 17km per second, but is getting closer to Earth, which is "catching up" with the spacecraft at a net (approx) 3km per second. How can this be? Well, because Earth orbits the Sun, the spacecraft's relative speed changes as when the Earth is in the half of its orbit "away from" Voyager, the separation speed increases, and when the other is in the other half of its orbit, the speed of the Earth in orbit considerably exceeds the speed of Voyager away from teh Sun, and so for a time, Earth appears to be "catching up". And is, in the sense that the gap between Earth and Voyager reduces. This is of course pretty conclusive evidence of the Earth actually being in orbit around the Sun, even though that was hardly the point of the Voyager missions.
These images were never planned to be taken, and the craft were only programmed to take the images principally after a campaign by the late Carl Sagan. The panoramic view of the inner planets is comprised of a mosaic of individual frames, and when you contemplate what it is, is breathtaking, food for thought - and of course a proof of the Sun being exactly eher it is supposed to be, at the solar system's centre (see accompanying diagram to put the mosaic into context)
Naturally, there are those who don't believe in the existence of such spacecraft, etc., and I already know Stanley will pretend to be richly amused by what he will undoubtedly call this "fake CGI", but for the rest of us, just sit back and wonder.
Quote The Voyagers have enough electrical power and thruster fuel to operate at least until 2020. By that time, Voyager 1 will be 13.8 billion miles (22.1 billion KM) from the Sun and Voyager 2 will be 11.4 billion miles (18.4 billion KM) away. Eventually, the Voyagers will pass other stars. In about 40,000 years, Voyager 1 will drift within 1.6 light-years (9.3 trillion miles) of AC+79 3888, a star in the constellation of Camelopardalis which is heading toward the constellation Ophiuchus. In about 40,000 years, Voyager 2 will pass 1.7 light-years (9.7 trillion miles) from the star Ross 248 and in about 296,000 years, it will pass 4.3 light-years (25 trillion miles) from Sirius, the brightest star in the sky .'"

| So no proof of God then?
You can't even admit the one truth that everyone knows for sure. We don't know. The reason everyone knows is because there isn't any proof of a god or gods. If there was proof there would be one religion, followed by all. You can believe that you have some personal connection to an imaginary being but you can provide no proof. Your higher brain functions and the chemistry contained within might make you feel you really know. But you don't. People have dedicated thousands of years to try and prove their gods exist but not a single one has managed it. Amazing isn't it? What are the odds of the tens of thousands of religions over thousands of years not being able to provide one tiny scrap of evidence?
I can see that things work just fine without any external influence, so it would be somewhat stupid of me to dedicate my life chasing something that isn't there. There are no spirits or souls, because there simply isn't any evidence, and plenty of more qualified people than us have looked and found nothing. It's very easy to see why your huge confirmation bias on the ridiculous subjects you claim to know the truth in, exists. Your core belief is based on nothing but wishful thinking, so it can't be that difficult to apply the same misguided logic with everything you look at. Your mindset is fractured.
Are you not going to prove God to the world then? You have an answer for everything else. Admittedly they are usually laughable nonsense, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on this one.
I eagerly await, with the rest of humanity for your proof of God.

[iButcher you're obsessed with God.
Jut wondering why atheists - dedicate so much energy - obsessed in their desire to prove there is no God.
Why would you spend so much time over something that you believe doesn't exist ?
Go on Youtube - and atheists have put great effort into disproving God and mocking God.
Go to Relgion forums - and there is probably more atheists on the forum - talking about God than there is believers in God.
Richard Pillock Dawkins - has built a career on trying to convince everyone there is no God - and written whole books - that come to the conclusion that the whole subject of his book - GOD - doesn't exist.
Its Madness................"You atheists just spend your whole lifes talking about something you don't believe exists"
So if there is no God - what you banging on about something that doesn't exist for all the time then ?
If someone doesn't believe in God - and has no real interest in the subject - because there is nothing in it for them then fair enough.
But what is it with these aggressive atheist types - who dedicate so much of their energy and time - about disproving something that they believe does not exist ? Pathetic really. The answer is simple, there is a spirit behind this obsession to discredit our Creator, these people are obsessed trying to disprove other people's beliefs. I don't go to atheist sites doing the opposite, however if an atheist confronts me I will give my opinion. But these idiots go around trying to start things. There is a spirit of Satan behind their obsession, and they don't even know about it. Or even know they're in a Religion. [/i

Isn't the reason it's called a 'faith' due to there not being one scrap of evidence 'god' exists, therefore followers having to have faith in gods existence.
The whole basis of Christianity is reward and punishment via an afterlife, which probably worked well with the uneducated, gullible people 2,000+ years ago, but in this day and age it's bizarre. Weak-minded individuals who can't comprehend the reality that once they're gone, they're gone.
As was said, if you were born in India Stan, you might be Hindu, born in Saudi Arabia, Muslim, born with Tom Cruise as a dad, a Scientologist.
Could you elaborate on the type of 'Experiences of Higher Consciousness' you've had, and what Bible we should be reading if all the Bibles from the last few hundreds years are all Masonic propaganda?

| Good swerve there Stan. Not worth the effort to ramble on though.
You could try answering the question though. Straight answers are not your forte, but you could start by admitting that you don't know if God exists. Or you could prove he exists to us all and I'll be a convert.
Go on, Stan. Let's see a straight answer.

I note as usual youentirely change a subject you have no answer to.
There is more than one ISS tracker. The code of any is simply based on the known orbit of the ISS, as being in orbit, its path is easily predictable by software, Did yu think your "tracker" was actually tracking by direct comms or radar or something? Really??
If you "change the clock" on your PC it won't make any difference to the ISS as you may be astonished to learn your phone or computer doesn't actually control, or even communicate with, any satellite. It predicts for your convenience where the ISS will be, based on where you tell the software you are, and what time and date you tell the software it is. Most sane people will understand that, if you deliberately feed false time/date/location information into a calculator, then on a GIGO principle, you will fsck up your result.
Try a simple experiment of your own. At 6pm, change your watch to read 7pm. Then ring and book a taxi for 7.15pm. I bet you that the taxi will arrive at the real 7.15pm, and not the one on your changed watch display. This is because changing the time on your watch does not control the taxi.

| How can Atheists talk about blind faith. If you want to think something came from nothing and their is no source because there is no proof and certainly not of an intelligence or whatever it is you think, that's fine. Because it requires faith of the unknown. If you are undecided and skeptical then you would be an agnostic Atheist as opposed to an atheist.
Outright rejection in favour of science alone, including the ridiculous theories like big bang, is no different than the main-stream religion as far as brainwashing, conditioning, irrational close-minded thought process, etc. The problem being belief in the unknown, faith in the unproven.
You've placed your faith in materialistic theories as facts. There is your religion. See Mr Butcher there's your blind faith. Splinters in eyes AGAIN

| Quote ="FLAT STANLEY"The Geocentric Plain, Spiritual consciousness. The Word. Miracles and Biblical prophecies are proof of God's fingerprint on this plane. What proof have you got for your god. Oh i forgot Satan is yours disguised as Science.

Yeah. All of which are claims with no proof. Try harder.
Haha. Satan. Throwing out fairytale characters as some kind of argument strengthener. Just lol.
Come on proof, Stan Stan the conspiracy man. You can do it. You're being dishonest now. All you have to do is say I don't know, or give actual proof.

| Quote ="whothefeckisalice"How can Atheists talk about blind faith.
Splinters in eyes AGAIN'"
Come on Stan. Backing yourself up with your imaginary friend is just sad.

| Quote ="bren2k"I don't have a god - and yes, no afterlife is exactly what I'm banking on; for that reason, I try to make best use of the time I have available, safe in the knowledge that dead is dead. You might believe otherwise, but that belief is based on blind faith in a text that can't in any way shape or form be verified. If anyone here is a sheep who can't see the real truth behind the lies, it's you - religion is an invention used to exercise power and control over populations, and it appears you've fallen for it hook, line and sinker.'"
In answer to your evil heinous post. I won't go into a tirade about how atheism is worse than religion, but I will just say that you atheists are just buying into a different reality tunnel. Its just as dogmatic and narrow as the Abrahamic tunnel. Not Believing in God is one thing, but All the Atheists I have read ( Harris, Hitchens, Dawkins, Dennet, Marx, Nietzsche, De Sade) not only deny a belief in God, but everything else has got to be false too, Souls, Atlantis, UFOs, Cryptids, the Occult, Fairies, Any afterlife scenario, morality, according the the mouthpieces of Atheism, they are all false.
I was an atheist once upon a time, and it made me so miserable If there is no afterlife, we might as well blow our freaking brains out, because we're gonna die anyway and we are just waiting for oblivion. Honestly the false dichotomous Heaven and Hell is better than Oblivion. If I was an atheist, I would be spiritually dead. That is why I believe in God. God is emotional rather than intellectual, You must open up your heart, not your mind.outright rejection in favour of science alone, including the ridiculous theories like big bang, is no different than the main-stream religion as far as brainwashing, conditioning, irrational close-minded thought process, etc. The problem being belief in the unknown, faith in the unproven. You've placed your faith in materialistic theories as facts. There is your religion. Atheism is the path of misery.
