Rhinos Rough Up the Warriors to Stay TopBoth Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors went into tonight's game at Headingley Carnegie hoping to keep up with Castleford Tigers juggernaut who were taking on the Huddersfield Giants fifteen miles down the road.
One of the highlights of the Super League calendar this match had much more significance than last seasons meetings with both sides looking for top four finishes and play-off places in 2017. The sides met three times last year with the Warriors being victorious, both times by large margins, on the first two occasions but the Rhinos grabbing a two point victory on their last encounter.
It was the 2016 Super League Champions against the 2015 treble winners. What could possibly be more mouthwatering?
