| This weekend's Rugby League conference semifinals show the spread of the game, after the RFL announced the venues for the games yesterday, which feature clubs as far apart as Edinburgh and Hammersmith.
These include a double-header at Haslams in Derby.
One thing is for sure: there will be a new name on the Harry Jepson Trophy, with Edinburgh Eagles hoping to be the first Scottish representatives in a Grand Final - if they can get past last season’s regional runners up Parkside Hawks.
In the regional semis, Gloucestershire Warriors are the only side with Grand Final experience, having been defeated by Wetherby Bulldogs in 2005.
Premier Semi Final Harry Jepson Trophy
Haslams, Derby (2.30pm) Accrington & Leyland Warriors v Hammersmith Hill Hoists
Winlaton (1pm) Edinburgh Eagles v Parkside Hawks
Regional Semi Final
Haslams, Derby (1pm) Bedford Tigers v North Yorkshire Stallions
Swindon RFC (2.30pm) Gloucestershire Warriors v Elmbridge Eagles
The grand finals will take place on 11 September at Butts Arena in Coventry.
