Prayer is communication between a Christian and God. It is not a wish-list, we do not beg for certain things to happen. Anyone who does such might as well pray to Santa Claus of the Islamic Moon god.

If you did meet Jesus (which of course you didn't - you had an episode in your mind, but that's another argument) then clearly God does intercede.

In fact, he goes around having one-to-one meetings with people, though only some people. And this depite the fact that actually meeting everybody would easily be within the power of an omnipotent and universal god, and save everybody from the eternity of torture he's got waiting for them. Why would an omnipotent, universal and omniscient god not what to do that? The only possible answer is sadism?

By the way, if you claim that your belief is based on meeting Jesus, you've just destroyed faith - a central tenet of your own theology.

Interceding in world events is different to being open to a relationship freely sought by us, mankind. You seem jealous that God only has 1-2-1 meeting with 'some of us' - this is a good thing, it means you too want the same relationship - however, this opportunity is only open to those who are open to it.

I also think you need to revisit the Biblical definition of faith.

The English language didn't exist when the bible was written. Thinking that it defines the meaning of English words is just another sign of a delusional mind.

So Jesus will only visit us if we want him to? If I am such a non believer and Jesus wants me to follow him, why doesn't he come to me to convince me?

I remember when someone posted a link to a detailed picture of the billions of stars out there, billions of suns, some bigger some similar some smaller, law of averages would state that there would be a planet circling with life on it, that alone helps me continue my life without God or Allah or any other magic man in the sky.
