I watched Celebrity Juice the other night and Helen Flanagan was on it and she had trouble finding Australia. I wonder if she was playing dumb or she really is dumb ? Maybe Eric Bristow got it right as to what he said about her being a lovely lass but f*****g thick ?

Nope. Missed the first one so didn't bother ... It's had decent reviews though.

Tend to stay away from many channels and programmes due to their insistence on promoting and glamourising talentless buffoons like that lot from TOWIE, Chelsea, Geordie Shore, etc, etc.

Whenever I'm working from home and have the telly on in the background you can guarantee This Morning will have some fkcwit from one of those shows, often as presenters. That Amy Childs creature makes me cringe. A genuinely idiotic plastic creation making millions from impressionable youngsters and housewives lapping up everything they see on the box.

While I can avoid them on a personal level, what concerns me is these are the role models our kids are looking up to and aspiring to be. They see a life of glamour for doing nothing more than having a camera shoved in your face. They want fame and money without having to do any work or without any discernable talent other than being on the tellybox.

I suppose Helen Flanagan can act. Badly.

How does anyone sit through an episode of Celebrity Juice anyway? The trailer is about 30 seconds too long for my tastes.

Ashton Kutcher in Two and a Half Men.

First time I've ever seen an episode with Kutcher in it. Jesus Christ Ashton Kutcher makes Charlie Sheen look good. I've got nothing against Kutcher - really liked Butterfly Effect, think he was good in Punk'd, but Two and a Half Men with him in it should have never made it onto the TV screens.

Anybody been watching 'Skint' of a Monday night?
Depressingly amusing.
A sad indictment of what our politicians have managed to deliver over the last 30 odd years.

To be honest its a sad indictment of what our documentary makers are managing to deliver, its predictable bottom of the barrel scraping claptrap and does not address any of the issues that it sets out to.

Yes we all know that in an employment blackspot like Shorpe/Grimsby there will be families like the ones portrayed and with youth unemployment like it is there will be kids with nothing to do and no money to spend but for every one they feature in this program there are probably 100 others who don't behave in these ways and who are genuinely struggling to survive on what handouts and charity they can get from a government who fails to acknowledge their existence.

The film makers missed a chance to make a proper social documentary that will be viewed in 20 years time as radical, instead they made it into a set-up comedy that will cause no change of thought amongst any of the viewers - its lazy program making, cheap throw-away 1 hour slot fillers that tell nothing and cure nothing.

It's very real alright.
Pitiful but real.
The underclass created by successive governments who haven't been bothered enough to address the problem is alive and well.

Just watching this week's HIGNFY on iPlayer. Jacob Rees-Mogg is a totally unpleasant individual.

And yet, much more entertaining than Josie Long. Poor girl looked like a deer in headlights.

At least Rees-Mogg managed to laugh at himself, not the usual pious politician who expects to go on there and look funny without copping some flak.

On "Skint" - it's point and laugh television from the "...Gypsy Wedding" school of documentary making. An opportunity well and truly missed for C4 to rise above the mundane.

Watched the first part (1/3) of [iThe Iraq War[/i on BBC2 last night.
All the big hitters giving their version of events.

Dick Cheney was by far the most [ihawkish[/i of our American allies.
Then we had our very own Tone with his vision of 'reshaping the Middle-East'.
Listening to him and what really shines through is that he was scared to death that he was somehow gonna miss the opportunity of saddling up with his mate Dubya.
His desperation to get the vote through parliament was palpable.

Has anyone seen Prison Break? I started watching it on Netflix and quite enjoyed the first series. As the second series progressed, it started to get more and more ridiculous, to the point that I was ready to bin it off half way through season 2. My wife made me persevere to the end of the series, but I can go no further. I really don't see how a third and fourth series got the green light.
