Well, 'Trevor Kavanagh' is trending on Twitter, so you can find lots of responses – some of which think he's brill and what he said is superb.

I'm currently having a 'debate' with one idiot who started by tweeting at me that Tom Watson isn't an MP.

Now, people are entirely within their rights not to like Watson – or any other MP – but to claim he isn't an MP because you don't like him or what he has campaigned on is just stupidity.

The same twerp then announced that Watson et al don't care about preventing terrorism because a few police have apparently been transferred from such duty to this case.

And were this not evidence enough of idiocy, added that people like me and Watson are corrupt because we're more interested in who is accused of being corrupt than in the corruption.

And Coddy – spot on!

Oh, it just gets better: my cretinous little defender of the [iSun[/i has now announced that my describing his comments as "crass claims" is an insult on a par with calling someone a "fat tw @t". And then called me exactly that.

As I said before what a service to the UK it will be idf The Sun gets closed down. More than anything else it has been responsible for the "yobbification" of this county over the last 40 years or so. Let's hope it goes and goers in disgrace.

Actually picked up a copy of the Sun today while waiting in the barbers. Hilarious comments about UK now having less press freedom than Russia or lots of other countries they could think of that your average Joe assumes has state controlled newspapers. Indingnant claims that their great newspaper is not soiled toilet paper. Maybe the reporter who wrote it (he had his name and picture at the top of the sharticle but he was instantly forgettable) should have taken a look at the 7 pages of "hard hitting reporting" prior to his editorial. 6 pages of "speculation" regarding Whitney Houston with lovely photos of a hotel sink full off fag ends and drugs and a list of all the medication she "might" have been taking. And of course page 7 was the t!t$ of the day.

I had to laugh when I read a tweet from "Sir Arnold Robinson", paraphrasing Kelvin MacKenzie's statement to Leveson: "Journalists outraged at an invasion of privacy by police, remember: (1) nothing to hide, nothing to fear; and, (2) privacy is for paedos"

Also interesting to see that MacKenzie bottled out of yesterday's Sunday Politics with Brillo show. He was supposed to be debating with Tom Watson but got someone to phone in and cry off. Isn't that just the way with bullies?

I'm personally of the opinion that is you are going to endorse candidates/parties then you should pay your taxes. Also, I'm sure those newspapers that extoll market forces will oppose this or am I just being naive?
