| Quick heads up for Strictly results show at 7.20.....If, as expected, Sid Owen makes the dance off, then we will get to see Ola Jordan in the greatest set of hotpants I've ever seen.....
Anybody reading this after the event, really needs to find the re-run on the I-player thingy....

| I'll be having a look at [iHarry and Paul[/i on BBC2 tonight in a new run of their sketch show.
New characters and old favourites.
I hope the [iself-righteous brothers[/i are still knocking about.

| They've not done them for a few series now. I'm hoping they still use Sophie Winkleman in their show, now that she's been in the States in the god-awful '2 & a half Men'

To be honest Peg I aint seen them since they were last on BBC donkeys ago.
Found the opening Gove sketch quite funny but that was about as good as it got.
I'll struggle to tune in next week.

I'm with you. Used to enjoy some of it historically but it's just tired now and I don't recall laughing at all.

| Absolutely gutted The thick of it has finished for good. Malcolm Tucker was one of comedies finest creations and Peter Capaldi was masterful as him.

I'm with you on that one. I loved the way it evolved from what seemed to be a few mates with a Handycam, into such a slick show

| The Timothy Spall thing about him chugging his sea-going barge around the coast of England, BBC4 and iPlayer.
Bloody great viewing, the sort of harmless yet informative program that fills half an hour and makes it seem like five minutes has passed and you want some more, him trying to enter the mouth of the Mersey last night and being told to turn around and try again after being asked on the radio by the coastguard "Do you have charts?" and then "Do you have a GPS device ?" and then "Do you know your exact position ?".
But on a negative, Rolf Harris's Vetinary program from the Liverpool Uni Vets college just doesn't work for me any more, I used to love him on Animal Hospital but on this new show he's just the mouthpiece and does the opening speil to camera, you don't see him holding a ranting cat down while a vet tries to stick a thermometer up its jacksie, and he doesn't cry when a budgie meets its maker, in fact, nothing has died so far, I think they've edited out all the dying animals bits - we want a barely supressed manly sob at tea time, not more good news stories, give us more dying animals...

| Watched the Bradley Wiggins documentary last night [iA Year In Yellow.[/i
Excellent it was as well.
Followed him from the start of 2011 through to the end, and his Olympic glory.
A more down to earth, unstarry geezer, it would be hard to find.
Didn't realise his old man had been murdered, although Wiggo wasn't losing any sleep over it.

| Hatfield & McCoys anyone??
Surprised this hasn't been mentioned - thoroughly enjoyed this mini-series, Costner and co did a great job. Loosely based around the infamous [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatfield%E2%80%93McCoy_feudHatfield & McCoy feud of the 1880s[/url, the series was dramatic, moving, stirring and often brutal in its retelling of the conflict. Even Costner came across extremely un-Costner like with a strong performance throughout.
I'm not a big one for TV series such as Homeland, 24, etc - but made sure I caught this every week. Excellent.

| Just about to catch up with yesterdays episode. I loved the first series. I was a bit late to the party so watched all the first season in the space of a few days and loved it. Series 2 doesn't have the same excitement and I kind of hope there is a conclusion to it at the end of this season because if it was dragged out through a third it would ruin it.

It was very good but was heavy going. Hard to get interested in a series when each of the main characters was so thoroughly unlikeable.
I just wished they had killed each other at the begining and let their familes have a normal life.
A true but sad indictment of mankind

Just turned over due to your recco.
Very nice, I'd volunteer to give her driving lessons.
They had a clip on straight after Pointless for that Strictly cr@p on later.
That Zoe Ball is a horror show.

| Panasonic are sending me a new TV on Friday after they failed to fix a problem with the plasma panel (thank you Pansonic for offering me a free 5 year warranty when I bought mine 2 years ago ). They only make one non-3D 50" plasma now so they're sending me a brand spanking new 50" 3D plasma, the bastads wouldn't go with also throwing in a couple of free 3D specs though
