The first time I watched the 10 commandments routine, I was sat at home, alone, applauding at the TV. Genius is dead right.

| Watched a lot of the Penn Jillette videos regarding his views on religion & politics, a very intelligent and well spoken guy.

| I'm big in to Doug Stanhope at the moment, even seeing past the smugness of Stewart Lee there's some good comedy.
There's also a comedian i like because i haven't seen anything like him before Doc Brown.

I would go a step further and say that what we've been sold is the dream of western liberal democracy which includes "capitalism is the only way". How is "The American Dream" different from what the UK has morphed into? What is the "UK Dream"? Is there a "UK Dream"? Is the crisis of "The American Dream" anything more than people realising they don't want "The American Dream"?
Underpinning "The American Dream" is a belief that this way is [ithe[/i way when really there are so many other dreams that may fit better for individual e.g. I want to be happy and having 2.4 children in the suburbs, driving a Nazi sled might not deliver happiness to me (it could though lead to happiness in others). We all our have own dreams and the rail against "The American Dream" comes from that and it's something embedded into western liberal democracy's counter-culture. Where does that come from? I'd suggest it's a connection to philosophy more than it is politics, trade and capitalism. Running a business isn't just about maximising profits, it can be about many other things as well and there are other business models which reflect that e.g. co-ops, social enterprise, non-profit, charity etc. Living a life is more than just making money but the latter is embedded in the western consciousness thanks to its imperial history which stretches all the way back to the great civilisations, especially Rome.

| Not sure what the score is on providing a direct link but if you go on youtube and search for "Rick Perry" and "Strong" you will get a 1 minute video by US presidential hopeful Rick Perry who opens with "I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a Christian, but you don't need to be in the pew every Sunday to know there's something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military..."
He has stopped people from posting comments but he hasn't stopped the 'like' and 'dislike' button which currently has 900 likes and 38000 dislikes
I can't believe this nutter is running for President, I wonder if he likes the parts of Christianity that talk about helping the poor and it being harder for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven than a camel to go through the eye of a needle, or he just likes the homophobic bits.

| The best one by a mile was Herman Cain, who pulled out of the race following allegations of an affair, who ended his speech with a quote from the 2nd Pokémon movie.
Jon Stewart rightfully took the Michael out of him.
