I suppose this means he accepts he was at a party or why pay because he was making it be known he would contest it. The conclusion therefore is he lied to Parliament and so did his Chancellor which usually requires honourable members to resign.

Why did you use Ireland as your example? Look up there military position. As has been pointed out there are many dimensions to war.

We could have moved on months ago, if they had admitted what was going on every Friday night in no 10.
There would have been no need for Sue Gray (remember her) and no need for the Met Police but, instead, Boris decided he would wait to be found out,.
Deny, deny, deny, deny, oops.
Also, Rishis apology was not for what he'd done but, for any upset that he may have caused.
Perhaps, instead of moving on, we should wait and see just how many parties they both attended.
I'll have a charity wager with you that it wasn't just the one ?

I agree Ukraine need arms therefore why did the USA not take up the offer from Poland to allow their Mig jets to go to Ukraine and the USA replace them.
If I was being cynical it could be suggested that de Pfeffel is more interested in self preservation at any costs because we have to face facts that we were happy to allow Russian oligarchs to launder their money through the U.K. with some actually donating to the Conservatives.'"
As already explained the decision to cut armed forces was made well before this conflict.
Its well documented why the USA rejected Polands "offer"
But now we seem to be getting to your actual point................................................this has nothing to do with armed forces cutbacks, nothing to do with giving assistance to Ukraine , nothing to do with USA /Poland offer. Your last sentence sums up everything - what a disingenuous human being you are.

Yeah, it's not like it's two of the most important people in the UK government is it? Two people who may well have to ask the public to make sacrifices again in the not too distant future. How do you think that would pan out now? My personal response would be, "have sex and travel".

Sweden sent 10k anti tank missiles and the Uk the same amount

Britain delayed seizing oligarchs money and property where is the leadership there
What is this great leader Boris doing that is more than anyone rise .

He didn't ask how many refugees they'd taken in, but what their military contribution was if that helps.
Not sure what your point is regarding nearly every NATO country providing significant military when he simply asked about Irelands contribution, btw Sweden are not a member of NATO.
On the refugee front they aren't doing much more than some other countries, but in military aid, if you can't see what more the UK is doing more than most countries then it's probably because of your obvious political bias and you don't want to.
Your bitterness is really showing now, nobody has used the word great only you in your obvious attempt at sarcasm which if I might add gives you no credit, on the home front he and his party aren't doing too well and him telling lies hasn't helped, but in the great scheme of things regarding Ukraine he has stood up and done his job trying to support them with the support of the government.
We live in a free world where you just can't go round seizing peoples money willy nilly, it takes time but the main thing it's been done despite your prejudice.
Think you've slightly over egged your last sentence, so I'll just ask you this, has Germany been in a position in the last 79 years to alter a policy of sending arms to other countries.

There are indeed many, many more important issues but, perhaps not, if it's your nearest and dearest that didn't get the send off that they wanted or, if they died alone because you had been prevented from visiting.
Dying alone whilst those at the top partied.
Do you fancy the charity wager on Boris getting done multiple times for downing street gatherings.
The "poxy" £50 (assuming that was the amount, seems likely to increase.

This was his post which clearly relates to our humanitarian contribution to Ukraine which clearly said it was lower because of distance away. It was pointed out that Ireland is further away but have taken a higher number of Ukrainian refugees than us so proving another failed defence of the de Pffell government.

The point being that, any individual who is suffering, especially the loss of a family member, that suffering is more important to them than anything else that may be taking place on the planet.
And to be told that you cannot or must not visit them on their death bed or attend their funeral, whilst those making and enforcing those rules are partying every Friday night, is simply not right.
Im sure that even in your selfish blue tinted world, you do actually understand this, at least I hope you do.
Of course there are and always will be more important issues.
Hell, all of only exist to allow the human species to survive and in that context, nothing really matters, does it ?
For Bojo, it may be a good thing that there is some focus on the need for a micky up because, most of the rest that he is responsible for is going pear shaped.

I see what you are doing there, trying to make out that those who dislike Boris are akin to Putin.
Remember, Boris was never at those parties/gatherings and all of the rules were followed at all times (according to Lyin' Boris)
Boris and Putin have plenty in common and if Purin decided to send illegal immigrants to Africa, I'm sure that you would say how despicable it was.....................
The Teflon Tory is finally coming unstuck.

| I do wonder how much traditional, stiff upper lip, one nation, law and order, say your prayers, bring back national service type Tories can stomach of this… or how important they even are to the Johnsonite coalition. Have they all just died off? Or just given up?
We’re in uncharted UK political territory. The Conservative Party might be permanently and irrecoverably changed, and if there are people who want to stop that their window of opportunity is closing fast. Just not embracing Johnsonian politics and hoping it passes won’t be enough… you can’t have several years of this and then easily revert to your core principles. As the US Republicans are finding out post-Trump and attack on the Capitol.

There's plenty of people out there who will fall for this sort of stuff and vote for them unfortunately.
The biggest void though is that the party isn't interested in serious policy any more. Every announcement is either a grift for themselves or their donors or something they put out to rile their red faced base and/or trigger the libs. There's no one sitting down and making policy based on outcomes or a coherent ideology. Operating week to week trying to own the news cycle and constantly coming up with new ways to distract from their own bad news stories is no way to govern.

Aye, it is full on Trumpian and there’s clearly an electoral market for that. Kind of weird to see the old order overthrown not by a different political or economic philosophy but by chancers and spivs, basically. They’ve always been around, but never with their hands on the wheel. I just wonder whether the traditional Tories can win back their party ultimately. Could somebody like Tom Tugenhadt or Tobias Ellwood become leader, and try to contain the damage to the brand similarly to Starmer with Corbyn? Or will the party want to carry on down its current path… and if they do, what are the longer-term consequences? A split/new party? A little shuffle to the right by the Lib Dems for those who feel politically homeless?
It’s a massive decision for them, about what the party is and what it stands for, and it seems to be being influenced by some relatively trivial, short-term indicators and spurious factors. I don’t think most of them (the parliamentary Conservative party) have really got a grip on it yet - perhaps because a lot of those from the red wall seats are inexperienced and/or maybe just not very attached to ‘traditional Conservative values’.

That isn’t remotely all. The majority of the country think he should resign. Have you seen his word cloud?

If / when, Boris is found to have breached the rules multiple times and its "just a pint on his birthday" and then "just a pint at a leaving do" and then "just a pint 'cos we always have a pint on a Friday.
Of course there are more pressing things.
However, it's worth noting that we changed PM during the second world war at a far more sensitive time for the UK and that turned out to be a wise move.
The delaying tactics are just that, hoping that folk, like you, will want to forgive and forget, after all, it's just how he is, Boris has always been the same.
