Excellent game, remedy the situation.

Never been able to get into RPGs like Fable, Fallout and Oblivion etc.
I just find them really boring and tedious. Not sure I've got the patience to complete games with a 50 hour+ story.
GTA isn't far off as long as it gets for me.

Do you like Zelda?

Never played it. Only Nintendo thing I've ever owned was a Gameboy colour. Played on a few SNES, N64s and GameCubes, but never played on Zelda, just things like Pokemon, Goldeneye, Mario and Star Fox.

Just played FIFA '13. Couldn't find the tagline on the packaging, must have been hidden. But I believe it goes something like:

Just played a bit of halo 4.

First impression's are a bit iffy tbh. Not get very far into the campaign at all yet but everything just seem's too different. Just downloading the multiplayer files from live so I'll see how that goes.

If you're seriously thinking about buying it, then read some reviews of the game. I played the original on the PS2 and I really enjoyed it - one of the best games on the console actually. Plus it's absolutely massive, like 40 hours plus. Plenty of value for money.

Have succumbed to buying XBox for my brood this Xmas and was looking for some suggestions of suitable, age appropriate games. 12 y/o boy will be laughing but we have 6 and 7 y/o girls too - what kind of range of games can we expect for the girls and do you have any recommendations? Cheers ears!

can anyone help me with this, my lad wants a laptop and pvr for xmas but thats costing way to much so could i run a pvr of a netbook?
I dont know anything about pvr's and was just wondering if a netbook would support the running of one.
When you record stuff does it save to the pvr or your netbook (he is wanting to record cod live games).

A netbook couldn't do it pal. Video rendering requires a lot of processing power and a good graphics card. You'd be better off looking towards a desktop if your budget's tight. I'm pretty sure AverMedia make a PVR that doesn't need to record directly to a computer, i.e. it will save to a hard drive connected to it without any computer being involved; however, you'll still need a good computer to edit the videos which I imagine he'll have to do. I imagine he's going to commentate on these videos and put them on YouTube?

You can get gaming laptops these days that are just as cheap as desktops, as long as you avoid high street shops and Dell.

For a scrub that isn't really interested in a gaming laptop/PC, but would be if I could find a really cheap one. Show us some of these please, sir.

So what's everyones thoughts on Black Ops 2 then? Multiplayer I can't get enough of but hoping for some bigger maps out as I've taken a liking to sniping.
The campaign on the other hand, I'm not so sure of as I can't seem to figure out what the story is actually about? I've played about 5 minutes of the Zombie mode, so can't really comment on that.

I'm same, don't know what's really happening in the campaign so barely played beyond mission 3, and as for those strike force missions....??? Multiplayer is a bit hit and miss for me so far but I like the league play mode and party game mode.

Haven't been on the campaign or the zombies, but loving the multiplayer.

I'm not a great player by any stretch and I find this version far easier to have fun with and contribute meaningfully to despite spending a fair amount of time as bullet fodder.

It's my 2nd favourite multiplayer game, with Battlefield: Bad Company 2 just shading it.

Whats black Ops II like for newcomers as far as multiplayer is concered?

Played a lot of halo online but never really touched COD, partly because I'm crap at it. but usually because I just don't get what's going on.

Pretty welcoming for newcomers, IMO.

There's an option where you are only pitted against similarly low level players until you rank up to above level 10 (thus generally avoiding the real good players while you're wet behind the ears) and even then you can opt play against (surprisingly realistic) AI only on the multiplayer maps so that you can get accustomed to the map layouts, weapons, scorestreaks etc.

I'm enjoying the multiplayer as much as I thought I would, but I'm really annoyed/disappointed in the new multi-team mode that has replaced the old 'team tactical' mode.
With a couple of mates, team tactical used to be really good fun, with a nice mix of all the different modes and because there were only 3v3 it meant the pace was slower and you could have fun with it, try out different classes etc. It was awesome.

But now it isn't available as an option anymore, and instead you have multi-team, which is three teams of three all playing at the same time. Loads of game modes have been removed because they don't work with three teams (domination, S&D etc.) and all you're left with is tdm, kill confirmed and a terrbile new mode called hardpoint.
Regardless of what the mode is, every single match you play quickly descends into absolute chaos because the system just can't handle three teams at once - the spawns get totally mixed up and confusing to the point where you get constantly shot in the back.
It is, to put it bluntly, an absolute unplayable clusterf*ck. I've taken to twitter to try and get treyarch to bring back the classic team tactical mode, but I'm not holding out much hope

I was going to say hardpoint is the redeeming feature, I like that mode. The re-spawning locations are my biggest gripe so far.

Just had a quick go on BlackOps 2 campaign... and got motion sickness something awful.

I'll be sticking to multiplayer!

Finally finished The Walking Dead game, not gonna lie... it was slightly moving at the end

Was speaking to a friend at work and mentioned the problems I'm having with XBox Live, and he mentioned getting a new router (had mine about 6-7 years or so I would imagine). He suggested getting a Belkin and I'm sure he mentioned something about ADSL2? Amongst other things to make sure it has.

Anyone on here know anything about routers and which would be best for online gaming (Xbox)? Don't want to spend too much roughly about £60.
