Can only go off personal experience and trust you'lll belive what I'm saying but of my two nieces, one grandniece and daughter in law, who work in the N.H.S. only one, the youngest, employed in a hospital given over entirely to care for covid 19 victims, received full P.P.E. kit, just last Thursday.

I'm no Tory, never have and never will be but I think most people deserve a fair shake in what they do. My conclusion so far is that this lot are bodgeing the job and they'd better get their finger out P.D.Q

There are many, many shortages of PPE, Birmingham Council with just 2 days supply of aprons, care homes galore without the relevant PPE, nurses being told that they have to limit themselves to less than safe quantities etc, etc, etc, etc.

My previous comment, in response to you saying there was no shortage of ventilators was again laughable.
If we are so flush with this equipment, why on earth do we have Ford, McLaren and Airbus, changing their manufacture to produce them.

Our health minister was telling us only 10 days ago that there wasn't a reliable enough test. Yet, Germany was and is testing and their stats make the UK's response look embarrassing.

Spain and Italy testing rates (20k per million) are about the same as Germany but their death rates are a lot higher. So it can't be purely down to testing.

I see the lefties are out in force - what I see is workers from private companies kicking off - that is an issue with the management of these companies who have systematically failed to adequately protect their employees and want to blame the government. Its not the government's responsibility to look after the H&S requirements of their personnel.

My cousins husband who is a 48yr old paramedic and fit as a proverbial butchers dog has been sedated, on a ventilator, upside down to get oxygen to his lungs for 95% of the time, having dyaliss and being fed through alternately a tube in his neck and hand for 11 days now.

Why have the NHS when they just need positive thinking classes. I suppose PPE just results in over confidence by the wearers.
We are doing our bit by self isolation to protect the NHS and lives unfortunately the government are not keeping up their end of the bargain. They have even put the supply of PPE being in control as part of the loosening of the stay at home policy. This suggests our liberties are dependent on the Government getting their house in order.

The government have supplied a billion pieces of PPE - within a month!!

Testing that has been a complete mess and the government needs to stick their hands up!!
