And not just The Sun. I was reading an article in The Independent the other day, in which the author mocked Hodgson's speech impediment. Very poor journalism, but about what I've come to expect from the British press.

I see 'the government' (read the Tory party) have suddenly asked to become a core participant which would provide them with a representative barrister, discovery of the various witness evidence etc before hearings and a chance to act for redactions of documents before they are published. Dave is obviously absolutely pooping himself at what Coulson Brooks et al will say and disclose next week. Hopefully Leveson will turn them down in the interest of an open hearing. This looks like an attempt at censorship by the back door.

Probably want to get their hands on all the evidence so they can leak information on possible Blair and Labour's closeness / dealings to deflect possible from theirs??

No shock there... they're as corrupt as hell, they just think we're too stupid to see it.

If I heard correctly, the security clearacne he had, allowed him to attend "a few" meetings that he didn't have clerance for.

It's the ginger minger tomorrow. Waste of time. They got nowt out of her first time round and I can't see any difference this time round.

Security clearance is an odd thing, you can be cleared to a high level, but then some codeword stuff is restricted to certain people at the same level.

It appears Coulson had a certain level of clearance that allowed occasional access to more high level stuff, but given the job he was doing, he should have been put through the higher level process. I read he had to go to regular meetings on classified issues (and as with A Campbell I'd dispute that he did) so he then needed the higher level. In my opinion.

The word on the scuttlebutt is that he wasn't presented for higher level clearance because they knew he wouldn't be approved
