Yes, picking a corner next to the memorial was a stupid and highly disrespectful, but hardly the worst offence in the last week. I'd give that to the chap with the knife who slashed at a man's throat. Or the lad who attempted to commit arson at the Cenotaph? Or the pack of ferals who set upon an isolated man. Or the huge chap who king-hit someone and knocked him out cold.
Ah...but their skin colour doesn't fit your narrative so some idiot full of lager taking a leak in a corner next to a memorial gets the airtime.
Similarly, the media narrative has been interesting. We've seen 2 sets of thugs over the last week. One lot have run riot across the country all week damaging public property, attacked and injured large numbers of police in London with impunity and caused large-scale scenes of violence including random attacks on whites. The other lot (far fewer in number) exchanged blows with a police in riot armour, displayed some truly vile behaviour, and one had a p*ss against a wall. We've seen no reporting at all of the veterans marches or of 'normal' people yesterday, which included plenty of black faces.
So, guess which group are labelled 'racist thugs', while others are 'largely peaceful'. It's THIS sort of narrative that divides. I fully support the end of racism. The racism of the far right is disgusting. But I will not support Black Lives Matter.
On that note, WTF are police commanders doing? They send pitiful numbers out against BLM in...erm, cloth caps, obviously outnumbered and overwhelmed in no time. They then sent out fully-equipped riot police yesterday with barricades in place. Are we seeing fear of the accusation of racism raising its ugly head again? Because that went well last time.
And tell me, what exactly do BLM want? We have extremely robust anti-racism laws in this country and for the vast majority race simply is not an issue. We have quotas in the workplace. Yes, there are issues around education and poverty - but is that racist? Really? Police deaths? Give me a break.
The BLM UK donation site states their aims are to [i"dismantle imperialism, capitalism, white-supremacy, patriarchy and the state structures that disproportionately harm black people in Britain and around the world"[/i. I've heard BLM members talk of dismantling the police, killing all whites, etc, etc. And country is bowing down to this. The Premier League is about to promote this. Feck me, has coronavirus resulted in some collective lunacy?
BLM ignore a lot of facts. The fact blacks kill other blacks in massively higher numbers than whites - including police - do. Even the numbers around police killings in the US don't support them - for example, if you're arrested and resist you're more likely to be killed if you're white. Ignored. They ignore the higher crime rates among the black community that obviously lead to proportionately higher interaction with the police and prison populations. But this is all down to racism, apparently.
If you're taking a knee for this lot you might just be committing yourself to a cause you night not actually want to support.

You have no idea how i voted or even if I voted. My political colours , not that I have any, has no bearing on my views as to the hypocrisy of the so called black live matter movement. Try checking out if black lives matter in a typical Chicago weekend, you may also consider the several deaths and injuries visited on the yellow jackets protesters in France by the barbaric French police. As to the white chattering class that’s supporting this movement, they may want to consider the old saying that a conservative is a liberal that’s been mugged.

On your point about robust laws, ensuring equal rights etc.
Are these the same type of laws that we have for equal equality for women ?
You know equal pay and equal opportunities etc ?
We all know that the laws are in place but, how effective are they in practice.
If you believe that these laws are so robust, how on earth are public bodies like the BBC in so much strife with equal pay claims against them.
You know as well as I do that if companies dont want to employ certain people, they wont employ them. End of.

Jim Davidson supports Johnson and which party did the members of UKIP and the Brexit party join in their droves. The leader of these parties can best be described as a little englander except when it comes to his women. Which leader is famous for his controversial comments both in word and particularly in speech. His time as the editor of the spectator does not reflect well on his claims that he loves all people regardless of colour.
Why does he need to have another report because the one he promised to do on islamaphobia he watered down to cover all prejudices which I note like many of his promises is yet to come to fruition.
What are the odds that when he next appears on the podium probably Wednesday he will have a big announcement to make regarding the lockdown to divert attention to the current problems and his usual embarrassment at Wednesdays PMQS.

Race is simply not an issue for the vast majority? I mean bigotry and thoughtlessness are usually visited on the disempowered, very often minority groups (everywhere, not just in this country). So in the UK most people are white and won’t routinely experience racism. Most people are straight and so won’t routinely be judged based on their sexuality. Most people aren’t Jewish or Muslim or wheelchair users... and so on.
I looked up Morgan Freeman’s views on racism in the US, and I read them slightly differently to you (assuming they’re the same quotes you referred to). As I understand him, he doesn’t want to stop talking/thinking about racism, but about race. He wants a change in mindset, rather than a head in the sand approach. To be seen as a man rather than a black man, for society to essentially be blind to a person’s colour. Now it is complicated, because race is a social-cultural construct and nobody wants to deny people the right to identify with a culture or their own experiences. In an ideal world we’d have some sort of attitudinal cultural-racial secularism, I guess. People being free to join a melting pot or be part of a societal mosaic to whatever extent they wish.
Freeman talked about the ‘terrorism’ black people suffer from police, after the 2015 death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore.

I assume, to pick one example, that you’re anti-anti-Semitic. Because anti-semitism is BS, right? Do you see any parallels between your use of facts here and the way anti-semites use facts, stripped of context, to characterise Jewish people as avaricious or scheming or any of their other stereotyped ethnic traits?

They may have preferred to vote Brexit but if I remember correctly which party did they not stand against, oh I remember the Conservatives.

I just prefer people to back up ridiculous statements with evidence, which as yet no one has,so it remains a ridiculous statement to make.

You can believe what you want however I can say they didn’t vote for the BNP or the EDL like you suggested they could have. I am sure you agree they are from the right albeit the far right and therefore are most likely to vote for the party of the right which in the majority of seats were Conservatives who had a leader with previous form in his comments or writings.
