The desire lets you connect straight to your exchange without any further software. You just need your domain and user settings.

Ringtones - how'd i get one from my SD card?

You need to put the ringtone you want into the sdcard/media/audio/ringtones directory.

Then go to Settings/Personalise/Default ringtone and choice what you want.

An easier way though is to install Astro file manager

Long press on the ringtone/mp3 you want select Music options then Set as ringtone.

So the I-Phone 4

I haven't seen much discussion about this.... Is it worth it?!

I've currently got a Nokia N85 (1/2 decent phone) and am wanting the I-Phone but with the restrictions on data are quite off-putting, Is anyone aware of any of the network providers being flexible. Im on Orange atm, I could "threat" to go elsewhere (have been with orange for 8years) if they didn't up the data! would they put a bundle on for free? anyone tried this yet???

Does anyone really need 32gb if they don't have loads of music on??

Finally, I've read that google's android specification and usability is greater than I-phone and cheaper too? This too anyone want to convince me to get an android rather than an I-Phone...

I have recently upgraded & with no real other choice than a 2yr contract (if you want a decent phone) I did loads of reading of the relative forums etc & I discovered lots if people had ditched the tw@ phone & gone to the HTC desire. So that is what I went for,got to say I don't regret it 1 bit excellent bit of kit for a fraction if the price. Deal I for was 1200 mins unlimited texts unlimited internetalso 150 quid cashback which I paid in the bank this morning all for 35 quid a month.

Got my Samsung Galaxy S last week, fantastic phone so far. The screen is absolutely amazing, really sharp and crystal clear. Quite a power hungry device and I've pretty much had to charge it up every day but given how powerful it is and that I've been using it a lot as it's new, that's hardly surprising.

Or want to use it as an actual phone.

Microsoft has just confirmed won't be able to buy Kin phones in Europe as was originally planned. Just thought I'd throw that out there in case anyone was interested. Anyone…

I have the HTC Desire and the other week I compared this with my friend's iPhone. He finally broke down in tears when it matched him function for function and then I showed him that I could watch Hull FC TV on my phone which killed him as he couldn't on his (He was on it and wanted to show everyone the clip). Stupid thing is, even after all that he's still loyal to the iPhone!!!!

I've been through this with my mates. I have the HTC Hero, which is getting on a bit now, and there is very little their glitzy new Iphones can do that mine can't. I mean how low have Apple gone by making video calls the major upgrade? Its been tried before and didn't catch on!

Exactly. I never used video call when I had it on my N73 years ago so I'm certainly not going to lose any sleep over it now!!

People cream themselves over the apps but the Android Market is getting bigger every day and after owning the iPod Touch since Christmas I have to say that most apps get played with for the first week or so then they get boring!!

It's the price that wins it for me every time.

I got the phone for free and pay just £22 a month with 3 for 100 x network minutes, unlimited 3to3 minutes, unlimited texts, and unlimited internet.

I have Nokia 5800. £18pm unlimited texts/internet and 300mins
Finally convinced a mate that paying double that per month, and for longer contract, plus handset cost for iphone is plain stupid.

Far too many clowns out there paying way over odds per month for minutes/texts and data usage that they never use just to say 'look at me...I have an iphone (and I'm skint)'

For work I have old Nokia 5330 and it does what I need it to do. Make and receive phone calls!!!! Nothing more!

thinking of moving over to android from my iphone 3g (cant see anything on the iphone 4 thats markedly different from my 2 year old 3g) my only worry is my musci etc. all my music is on itunes does an android phone link fairly seemlessly with itunes? has anyone made this switch and had any problems?

Chipped in old iphone 3G 16Gb for £183 and got an iphone4 for £209. £30 a month for same as above + visual Voicemail (it's just voicemail but you an see how messages you have).

and both you and I know I won't be creaming myself over it anytime soon.
