How about "I'm a Celebrity, String 'em Up"" in which high profile right wing celebrities (I'm writing to Jim Davison as I speak) compete against each other in a prison setting for the right to be crowned "King of the Rope" and to officiate at an actual live execution, a commercial break would be called for as the prisoner is stood ready on the trapdoor and then when we come back there is a two minute phone-in reprieve slot at premium rates at the end of which Ant or Dec hold one finger to an ear and say "We've now got the results of the phone-in reprieve and the viewers vote is..."

I simply cannot see the value in keeping them alive in reasonable comfort for 40 years+. There's was premeditated murder for which they should suffer the ultimate penalty, Brady - he been in prison since the 60's why? The poor mother who died this year has been tortured all this time he would give up where he buried the boy - if he had been executed he might have given that up at the point of no return.

Presumably the London bombers would have been executed if they'd been caught. Although you'd need a pretty good surgeon to prepare them for execution.
