30 bodies crammed in a small canteen room in some cases.
The job is continuing unabated.

The Govt have utterly bodged their attempt at lockdown - and it was done 2 weeks too late and in a half-ar5ed way - such that we are now being criticised the world over, and contributing to Europe being the epicentre of infection; whilst China, Korea and other countries who got ahead of it much sooner, are coming out the other side.

We are led by donkeys - it's alarming.

Correct, i am a mechanical and electrical subcontractor mainly in construction. We have 2 main contracts , my bloke are on lockdown on one site. The management at that site have made no attempt to address the situation. I believe they are using this situation to hide the fact that they are way behind programme ,and have no chance of meeting the handover date. The other site we are on the site manager has instructed staff to have lunch and tea break onsite as opposed to the canteen. It’s a 9 storey apartment block. He has limited the amount of people working on each floor, making sure ample space between them. I have made it clear to my blokes if they feel it’s not safe come away. They are pleased with everything that’s going on at that site, so to close that down would be a mistake.

We will test everyone when we have a test that's better than the one now. That process is likely to go for years to determine the effectiveness of any vaccine we develop. I know of at least on site that's being considered for this.

And it would all be SO much better under Cringebin, he would have used a few loaves and some aloe vera and created a vaccine by combining them with the sweat, blood and tears of former miners...

some people need to have a serious word with themselves politicising this situation.

According to the Guardian, they have a self test thingymibob almost ready to roll out. Plus the 80% of pay portal at HMRC should be ready sometime in April for employers to claim back what they have paid out, that is unless you happen to own Wetherspoons.

To be fair to this Tory government (please excuse the use of Tory and fairness in the same sentence) they do appear to be having a crack at it, albeit in a sort of "today's good idea" sort of way.

Indeed, everything is best guess with best intentions. It is easier for some to sit on the sidelines saying "that's wrong" without offering alternatives, or say "you should have done xyz" with the benefit of 2020 hindsight...

In the morning the tests would be available from Amazon or Boots for all once the accuracy verified but by the afternoon they would not be generally available and Boots had no idea what they were talking about.
I regret this highlights the way the pandemic as been handled with a string of confusing statements coupled with a lack of preparation.

I work in a frontline business, with oversight of 2,000 key workers; yesterday I was offered 500 antibody tests at £60 + VAT apiece, with delivery at the end of April. I know the supplier is legit, as I've used them before for medical devices. I would suggest that's an indication that the test is in mass production, distribution has started, and the NHS will get first dibs (rightfully so) through April - with other health and social care settings able to access end of April/beginning of May.

For any organisation on the front line, being able to work out who has had it and is now immune (notwithstanding mutations) and who isn't, will be a massive help in terms of rota planning and delivering essential services.

I've been to a classic car show in ExCeL London. The main room they are using is absolutely huge.

They are also building a morgue on site.

See which patients are taken there - that will tell you if you're on the right lines.

From information I am hearing directly from staff working on wards.

There may be some attempts to minimise the significance of what is going on.

Lots of young people being hospitalised and staff going down like nine pins.

I no wa await IR80 to go on about scaremongering. Although considering I am having to meet lots of vulnerable people on a daily basis I am worried enough !!!

Not sure if people have noticed that the government has changed the way it collates needs releases figures of new cases and deaths.

The engineering/engineers arm of the company I work for (BOC Gases) are there now installing the medical oxygen pipelines, been there over a week.

The handling would be comical if it did not impact on people’s lives. The reason we did not join the EU purchasing group was because we did not receive the e-Mail and Raab overstated the number of ventilators by 4000 because he was confused regarding the question.
