Is anyone having problems with Orange? Currently my phone is taking the pish, and has been for months. I recieve a text which should of come through hours ago but comes through 2 hours later!
Went in to Orange and they said it was something to do with the 3G network making changes or so.

Apart from that I'm fed up of my phone now and would like something different. What is the earliest in a 24 months contract you can see about getting a new phone (been bought out of this contract) or do you think if I told them about this problem which has been going on for months they may be able to do a deal of some sort?

I've just upgraded my phone and taken out a new contract with Vodafone and they were no longer offering unlimited internet like they did when I got my previous phone. My data usage wouldn't come close to the 1gb that they offered me last time around so it doesn't really matter to be honest.

Went for the Samsung Galaxy S which is out a week today I think. Can't wait to get my hands on it now

when vodafone did unlimited internet it was capped to 500mb any use above this was subject to their fair usage policy.

The problem with unlimited data bundle offers is that they aren't unlimited

Got told it was min £35 p/m contract for the desire. Looked online at CPW's website and its £30. Complaint issued and original offer cancelled. Took out £30 for free texts, 500mins and 500mb of internet.

CPW offer the phone on both 500mins & 400mins for £30 with the same amount of data & texts

Unlimited sat nav?

Thats strange to offer it as a deal.

I only say that as Google maps and navigation come as standard with the Desire, the data usage comes out of your data package.

Oh and i still would not have gone with Orange

I rang CPW direct and told them what they had offered. That £35 was lowest available for the Desire with anyone. I looked online immediately, they apologised and said "that branch doesn't have access to the £30 a month contracts"
which was very strange

Blackberry batteries are good if you dont use them much. I used to get about a day and a half to two days out of mine (however i didn't use it much).

If you use it a lot then you can barely get a full day out of it

Iv had Blackberry Bold 9700 a couple of month now and cant fault it and is better to touch than the curve. Im Never off it and the battery life isnt all that bad.
Some of the apps are bit of a gimmick and are pap.

Are all current internet friendly phones useable as modems (teathering?) for a laptop? If not, which are? I'm on 3, happy with their coverage and service, and am planning on staying with them for the next contract, so that needs to be a consideration too.

Yep, got it on Saturday. Mainly got it because it's so small and for the odd occasion when I don't have it in my bag I hate having a large bulky thing in my trousers.
I'm probably not the best person to ask as I'm not at all interested in these things I just want to be able to make calls, send texts and see how many Hull are losing by when I'm at the rugby on't internet. Camera seems alright I suppose and it does seem to pair really well with my cars blue tooth system thingy.
