Likewise.
I can remember the Triple D episode with the old couple who had done I think it was 300 locations from the series. That's the life.
Have to disagree with Minty on MvF as well. While the challenge part of the show is more about gluttony than quality, the first half is normally Richman going to well known local eateries and sampling the best an area has to offer.
It may not be high end cuisine, but it's primarily about good food and has as much of a home on a food based channel as something done by a Michelin starred chef.

Quite. Women are genetically disposed to cooking and it was inevitable that you would find your way in there and spend many a happy hour therein to provide for the man in your life.

Its pretty hard to get the quality of food in the UK shown on those two TV shows, I don't know that many cafes or greasy spoons that still scratch cook anything never mind make their own burgers and slaw and a great many "Fast Casual" eateries buy in everything (see Frankie and Bennys, TGIF, and Beefeater) and microwave the crap out of it.

I've only just seen this – and would like to point out that I don't just want to watch "something done by a Michelin starred chef", Andy.

| One thing I never quite understood is why an establishment wanting to seduce punters into eating with them, would want to use a fat fookinbarsteward Michelin Man.

| Just helped myself to bacon, eggs, mushrooms, fried tomato's and 3 slices of toast wwth Lurpak spreadable.
Very enjoyable after a full day on the p!ss.
I think my cooker might need a wash down in the morning though.

| Had a simple dinner last night, which was most enjoyable. Just salad, steak and fresh bread (and butter) from Waitrose. Don't usually think much of their bread but the loaf we got last night was very good.

Could be.
Seeing as how there was only one item to cook, his genetic disposition might have been up to it.

Mrs D, but I did go to Waitrose with her when she picked me up from the station last evening and I did carry the shopping bags to the car for her. Very traditional like that.

[iFor[/i her? Implying that carrying bags is women's work too, you mean? What jobs, both domestic and work-related, would you consider "men's work" to be, then?
Oh, and you never gave an answer to what food you like to prepare once a month when you [ido[/i cook. Am intrigued, please let us know.

The fried bit I can understand: I deep fry, pan fry and griddle fry
As for minced/ground beef, I much prefer to chop mine
