| The New X-Men film is superb, I recommend it. A lot more grown up than any of the others I've seen, and not as cheesy as the Origins: Wolverine one.

| Transformers 3.
Its a film that 3D is made for, some awesome special effects and i thought Megan Fox would take some replacing but the new bird, Rosie Whittington Huntley or whatever her name is, is a fine specimin in her own right.
Film seems too long and the plot does weaken but just for the actions scenes this one is a must for anyone who loves that type of stuff

| Is there anything left to blow up in Transformers 4?
I heard the woman is as exciting as the rubber on the end of a pencil.

Only out in the cinemas in August.
Saw Transformers 3 today, what a pile of brown stinky stuff that was. The script was awful, when it tried to be funny it wasn't. The number of slow-mo scenes was ridiculous it got to a stage where I thought there was some problem with the equipment. Even the CGI was poor, President Kennedy looked like he'd had a dodgy facelift!
You couldn't care less whether the characters made it to the end or not, as for the leading lady she was just irritating by pouting or screaming in all of her scenes. Obviously she was there just to keep the interest of teenage lads in the audience.

| I cannot bring myself to watch Transformers 3. The second installment was potentially one of the worst films I've ever seen. I've read that this one is just straight balls to the wall machines bashing the hell out of each other for 2 hours. Fantastic formula for an action movie if you're Michael Bay.

| The new woman in Transformers has really weird lips that freak me out.
The action scenes are nevertheless brilliant in 3D.

I really fail to see how anyone could not find Transformers 3 entertaining? What were you expecting when you went to watch an action movie based on a set of transforming robot toys?
The film is great fun. The visuals are stunning for one. The new girl is absolutely edible and has a sensational body. She also has a very cute girly run that I fell in love with. She's also so nice, far better for Sam than that nasty chav he used to bang. Although I did physically bite my knuckle when I thought she was turning bad when she spoke to Megatron.
The sound on Transformers is also very cool. I watched the film today and have spent all afternoon mimicking the noises. The action scenes are fantastic, the little robots that swear a lot are great. The only downside is the few moments of cringe whenever Octimus speaks. He seems incapable of talking without going into a prophetic ramble about the moral underpinnings of mankind.
As an action movie? Fandabadosy. As an example of cutting edge drama, groundbreaking acting and storytelling? Well, only a fool would expect that.

It's all down to personal opinion isn't it, personally even if it's an action film that I've gone to see I prefer there to be some form of plot and not have the film makers treat me like I've had my brain removed just so I only pay attention to the CGI.
I prefer to have a solid plotline and decent acting rather than care about how many $ have been spent making it.

| Up In The Air - enjoyed it a lot, thought it was quite clever and very droll in it's way. Clooney really is an exceptional actor IMO.
Robin Hood - enjoyed this far more than I thought I would do after reading some of the reviews on here. Crowe's accent was a bit odd but no odder than a true Nottingham accent is anyway

| Watched Pirates4 with the kids yesterday. Very weak. Lots of characters and some kind of story but the whole thing just didn't work very well. Part of the problem was that the 'terrifying' Blackbeard was a wuss in the end.

| Now I'm sure a lot of people have heard about Terrance Mallick's new film The Tree of Life, and how mind blowingly amazing it is. Now I'm a big fan of his previous films, The Thin Red Line inparticular, however I found The Tree of Life to be 2 and half hours of pointless style over substance. It has some really mezmerising visuals and is almost hypnotic at times, but I was unable to grasp what the plot or the point of it was, it just didn't make sense to me.

I was really looking forward to this but having read alot of the reviews it sounds very much like you describe. It just sounds boring....

| I've just seen Harry Potter 7 part 2.
I'm glad I've read the books or I wouldn't have had a clue what was going on!
It all felt a bit rushed and far to many one liners.

I love it. [iThe Thin Red Line[/i is the least interesting of his films for me and [iTree Of Life[/i, I will go so far to say is his best but I thought [iThe New World[/i was brilliant and his best before this. Both are quite abstract and although it's a bit more straightforward, [iTree Of Life[/i (i.e. the clue is in the title), I loved it and found it quite emotional at times. The cinematography was incredible and that first hour was just mesmerising and had me thinking, finally a film that makes [i2001[/i look dated.
