I'm sure that if god had permitted me to be sexually abused as a child, as part of his great master plan, I'd be very happy to work for him. Nice guy. Obviously he produces rejects on his assembly line, so can't be that omnipotent, and as for some reason he also can't cure them, or kill them himself, it makes perfect sense for him to tell me to do it.
In the old days, he would've just smote them, or levelled the town they lived in with a volcano or flood or something, but these days he obviously prefers to subcontract the dirty work.

He has quite a lot on his plate giving malaria and HIV to African babies. It makes sense to outsource the sex offender murders to a couple of rednecks. |

I suppose it's not that much different from getting the Romans to execute his lad. If I arranged for some people to torture and crucify my son, I'd expect to do some significant jail time. I never did understand why, if I'm a supreme being, in that case getting my son killed is like the best thing eva and we should all be eternally grateful.

I'm not a religious person, only go to church for weddings/Christenings/funerals, but it gets a bit tedious when every thread on here about religion brings out the same old people spouting the same old lines. Even the OP on this thread was focused on vigilantism but it has been derailed. |

Sad isn't it. It's a shame some posters have to thrust their bigoted hatred and intolerance into an open arena such as.
One has to hope that these people never get into any kind of position of responsibility where they would no doubt seek to discriminate against those of religion.
As for the poster who said people who 'believe it are idiots'. This is a totally bonkers statement considering the scientists, inventors etc through the years who have been religious (no I won't list them). Are they all idiots?
